I had two breakfasts and one lunch at TOCA. The restaurant is located inside the Ritz-Carlton so this is very convenient if you are staying at the hotel. The breakfast was very good (service too). The lunch menu is fairly reasonable in price and they serve mostly sandwiches. Overall a good place to have lunch / lunch meeting.

Better late than never; In October 2016 I reserved a private dining area at Toca Restaurant to celebrate a 60th birthday. The manager Tarun and his staff worked diligently and to the highest service standards to make the event a great success. The head chef Jitin, prepared a fantastic menu. I ordered an in-house made cake and it stands as... More

We went to Toca pre theatre at Royal Alex. The staff was great. The food was reasonable, maybe not as good as what was expected for a 4 star hotel. Our appetizer a caprese salad was onviously prepared ahead of time and refrigerated. The tomatoes were cold and had no flavour and the basil was dead, no flavour from being... More

I love this restaurant- however, new years eve was a little disorganised. Ali our server was great and took good care of us. Ensured that all our dietary restricts were noted. We are very thankful for that. The manager however, was really rude and did not address any of the issues we had that evening...it was disappointing. He had no... More

Perhaps since it was a restaurant within the amazing Ritz –Carlton the expectations were huge. Service-wise top notch one of the best experiences I have had in Toronto. Food was (for this level of dining) very, very average. No real taste, nothing that made me go WOW! Very solid but not exceptional. The lobster Caprese was not overly creative (no... More

My boyfriend and I dined at Toca for the Sunday brunch on Boxing Day and had a lovely time. There was a nice variety of different cheeses, hot breakfast items, pastries, salads, seafood, prime rib and dessert. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, nice seating as well as lovely placement of the dessert table and other food items. The service... More

The pre show meal was excellent. Little appetizer and bread are provided before your main dish. the soup was excellent and pasta with lamb meat balls also very well seasoned. No need to add anything. The desserts to complete the pre show were as well very good. We were all set to go see the show for 8pm.

We attended the restaurant as part of a night out. Dinner, play and apres play wine and cheese. The service was great, we explained we had a Gluten intolerance issue and were explained the options. We had a booth wtih lots of attention. From the menu I noticed a wine and cheese pairing item and I explained we were off... More

I had the mista salad and the swordfish which perfectly melted in my mouth. The salad was amazing maybe a tad too much vinaigrette but it's italien after all! It was surprisingly seasoned to perfection. But what struck me the most was the service. My server was knowledgable and accommodating and gracious and non obtrusive. Knew when to leave us... More

This restaurant has outstanding service. The quality of care is next level. I had an amazing experience and recommend this restaurant for small events or simply a dinner for two. 5/5!

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
