Service staff really need proper training. We arrive and no one is at the hostess stand. A waitress walks right by without making eye contact. We seat ourselves and wait about 10 min. until we are noticed. It's not busy at all. The waitress who...More

This bar/bistro has to have one of the finest locations in the city, immediately adjacent to the Toronto Harbour. However, it is not all that accessible by TTC and we were surprised that on a gorgeous summer evening, it was not overly crowded. We only...More

Beautiful location but awful and overpriced lobster roll. It was all mayo with limited lobster. I will not be returning.

Quite a large venue on the waterfront has indoor and outdoor seating. The service was good. The brunch menu looked interesting. The food is about average. They certainly could use a chef.

At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination
for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip

a strong student influence from the Ryerson University
Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in
flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities,
with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to

Located in the Corus Entertainment Building right next to Sugar Beach, this Urban Tavern is perfectly situated within walking distance to downtown, allowing you to relax and enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Ontario and the Toronto Island.Against the Grain is a casual Urban Tavern where people gather to enjoy Maple Chipotle Baked Wings with a local brew, Pulled Pork braised in dark beer and molasses, Stone Baked Pizzas or traditional cocktails with a twist. All served in a sophisticated presentation and service.Unique local and European brews are tapped regularly along with interesting new and old world wines. Check out our rotating line up of Canadiana, Locals Only and the Traveller’s Tap – always serving you new and exciting flavours. Of course we can’t forget the cocktails including our own signature “Against the Grain” made with Canadian whiskey. The dark mahogany wood throughout the entire restaurant and warm dark wood bar with antique metal accents and a granite countertop add to the already comforting atmosphere of Against the Grain.
