Good noodles and broth, quick service, clean, reasonably priced. Not high cuisine, but a decent place for a quick meal.

Simple, no frills ramen joint among many in Toronto. The staff was nice but we got a little table in the back between the coolers and the kitchen so a seat in the front might be less distracting. The distinguishing factor for me is the vegetarian options (four on a short menu). My wife and I both had vegetarian ramen... More

The "other" ramen place down the street was crowed and had a line, so I decided to check out this joint. It's pretty clean with nice seating arrangement. The ramen tasted delicious and the large gyozas were cooked to perfection. The service was efficient too. Overall a very satisfying meal.

I visited Kenzo and had the Orochong soup and the gyoza. The soup is very good ; spicy with delicious noodles. But the gyoza are the best - large and very juicy. Lots of garlic.

In town visiting with my husband when stumbled upon this place as we were staying at the Double Tree Hotel. We were not disappointed! Staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is fresh! The only cons are that there is no WIFI and the place is small, but if you go a little later in the evening it's not... More

This modest little restaurant serves the best gyozas in the city. The gyozas deserve a 5 star rating, their ramen a 3.5. I am an uptown girl, so whenever I make a trip to the Eatons centre I always make time to get my gyoza fix; they are just a few minutes walk from Eatons! Their menu items are also... More

A week later still shocked about the dreadful service at this restaurant, such a rude waiter, bill slammed down on the table mid way through our meal (we were not being particularly slow!) and once we had finished he appeared with his card machine and said "i'll have you pay now"!! Not a word of thanks or greeting throughout. Oh,... More

Not the best ramen I've had but not bad either. The noodles are cooked well, but the broth is supremely disappointing. Unbalanced, just a weird mix mash of flavour. Santouka Ramen is one of my all time favourite ramen places. The soup was not greasy and got flavoured with seaweed and soy sauce-soaked-pork, all tastes came into the soft noodles.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
