I've had this dish in at least a dozen Vietnamese restaurants around Toronto, including The Golden Turtle, and Com Tam Dao Vien's is by far the best. Unlike the others restaurants, in addition to the lemongrass and the chicken, the dish has bean sprouts, onions and green & red peppers. It is so good that I probably won't ever eat... More

Expectations were exceeded. Bright, clean restaurant serving Pho with delicious, flavorful broth. Selection and quality of ingredients was very good. I generally avoid rice dishes at Vietnamese restaurants, but was pleasantly surprised with the combination rice dish that was ordered. Now I'll try again. Friendly, efficient service and parking outside.

Ordered PH 13 with chicken and beef balls. Everything was good except the meatballs were gray, hard as a rubber ball and in the end, caused food poisoning. Prices fine, service ok.

I say 'these days' as it changes fast and often! I've tried a lot of places in Toronto lately and this place beats them all. Fast, inexpensive and delicious. Go for the house special pho....fantastic.

We went here with our daughter, son-in-law and 2 very active boys. It is a very family-centered restaurant. This was the best Vietnamese food we've had outside of Vietnam. The price was very reasonable.

Have been here a few times but won't be returning. The first few times we had Pho and that was okay. This last visit i had Cantonese Chow Mein and my friend had Congee with chicken, with fresh rolls for starters. The fresh rolls were just okay but at $4.50 for two they definitely weren't worth it, places like Ginger... More

We had dinner with our family of five at the Com Tam 168 , on the outside of Pacific Mall. The beef and flank noodle soup, Phuo, was tough. Vietnamese egg rolls were good. Bill came up to $55 which was reasonable. Waitress was unfriendly. My husband did not like the service. We plan not to return.

Ordered beef pho, got tripe and beef balls. Was given the wrong order, didn't complain (I never do in a restaurant as I don't trust cooks to not mess with my food). Paid and left. Not going to return.

A basic, but clean Vietnamese Pho restaurant that is usually filled with locals from the Vietnamese community which is always a good sign! Pho is good though the meat is sometimes a little fatty.. They accept debit/credit which is nice but be prepared to park in tight quarters!

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
