Great food and coffee, but the real delight is letting your kiddos go play at the play table in the back corner. Friendly staff and no "looks" from people for letting your kids loose.

I had the weekend brunch this weekend and found the food, coffee and staff to all be excellent. There are menus st every table and you order from the cash. They had a mix of traditional and unique do if you are with someone who just wants bacon and eggs they have that on the menu too. I had the... More

Tim's is predictable; but try a little real, you might enjoy it. Great to see families feeling at home. I made the most of the gluten free options and it was taken in stride by the staff. Welcome to my world.

Coffee froends and wifi not a bad combination for Coxwell and Gerrard. In fairness this spot has community drop in written all over it and is a familiar spot for meetings or catching up. Upscale modern clean with good coffee! And even better run by a community leader.

Pricey food which isn't particularly good. Service is average as well. Cramped seating. No ventilation from the kitchen meaning your clothes will smell afterwards. Only good for kids as they have a train set. Won't be returning

Just popped in to get some take-out coffees and a breakfast sandwich. The place was slammed and the staff run off their feet. It's obviously a very family-friendly place as I tripped over more than one small child. I guess their drawn in by their cutesy logo and kid-friendly food choices. The coffee was good, the sandwich was a mess... More

Nothing you don't get elsewhere, at better prices and friendlier service. Had to wait 15 minutes for a simple coffee, with no explanation for the delay. Just a sorry. Won't be back.

Love the coffee and sandwiches. Crazy about seasonal cheesecakes (fall and winter) but not so in love with other treats.

Been here a handful of times since I live up the street. Don't mind the kid friendly atmosphere however, Ive never had good experience with the staff. No smile or thank you. This has deterred me many times from going back.

I've been here many times and have always enjoyed it. The service is wonderful, as is the food...all locally sourced ingredients made, with obvious love and care, into wonderful meals. My two favourites include the veggie rise and their veggie burrito (maybe the best burrito I've ever had). Thank you, good people of Lazy Daisy's Wonderful Cafe!

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
