The place has the standard coffee, treats and small meals offerings. Lots of different kinds of people patronize the place, which makes the people watching a lot of fun. The coffee is pretty good and the food is as good as these places usually are. Quick, not expensive, reliable quality, friendly servers.

Good place for breakfast or a coffee and croissant. Decor is a bit tired, but quality of service and food is very good, and good value.

This is a cute little place with a patio and a liquor license that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a casual, friendly way. Don't expect too much - its really a neighbourhood hang out; but families as well as singles will feel equally comfortable. Food: O>K>

Well...not a great start. Opened at least 10 minutes late with no explanation, apology or good morning! Ordered scrambled eggs with sides and wrong order was delivered. When the correct eggs finally came, everything else on the plate was extremely cold. Certainly not a welcoming atmosphere!

Found this little gem near my hotel on the first day after arriving on an extremely early flight. Fresh baked goods, fresh made sandwhiches, salads, coffees, breakfasts, etc. There is something for everyone, every meal and I would (and already have) most certainly recommend to anyone. Had to make a second visit while in town to grab some croissants for... More

Amazing patio, fresh croissant. Great breakfasts and lunch. Also it's licensed! Not fine dining, just fresh, good food.

This little, out of the way restaurant was a nice surprise. My family and I spent the night in Toronto and found this little gem by accident. The food was quick and fresh. The pricing was very reasonable. Friendly staff. The establishment was clean both inside and out on the patio.

After landing in Toronto this was our first stop, a clean, modern-style place for breakfast. It's a seat yourself style when you make an order at the counter and take a number to your table. The menu screens are difficult to read when there's an imposed picture in the background of the digital screen, but it changes eventually back to... More

Went for the coffee stayed for the dessert. Coffee, butter tart with raisins, and great service I'll be back. Could you ask from anything more? :) Delicious

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
