Most customers get the all-you-can-eat deal, which is fairly priced (and includes items other than sushi), but the emphasis is on quantity rather than quality. It's very popular (sometimes you can't even get a table), but I wouldn't recommend it if you're picky about your sushi.

It was our first night in Toronto and we wanted something easy. We saw this place and it's all your can eat offer, and why not. The food was ordered on a slip of paper and you just marked what you wanted. When we sat down, we were brought wasabi and pickle. Drinks came promptly and the food came out... More

Always a popular spot to get your fill of average to above average sushi. All you can eat lunch for $13.99 per person. Great selection and tea is included. Love the dressing on the salad. Perfect balance of crisp and sweet. The place fills up quickly so best to arrive early.

I had called this restaurant to reserve a table for 10 a week before the date of our event. Upon arrival I was told that there was no reservation under my name or phone number. There just happened to be a room available so I let it slide. We were led to one of their private rooms near the back... More

Anthony Bourdain refers to these kinds of AYCE outfits as 'utility sushi'. Here, unagi (eel) items are only available on the dinner menu. Service is prompt, even when the place is packed---this is a very popular eatery with local students. One finds the washrooms after a bit of an adventure, but decent signage helps with that search. The restaurant location... More

This was my second visit years after first; service to my surprise was in fact improved, food did not take as long to come and servers were more responsive. Still cannot call it great service though. Food wise - sushi and sashimi were absolutely the typical below average AYCE food quality, The cooked stuffs took the cake though - it... More

Really well done Japanese food, with good variety of hots and colds. Order by unit of each speciality, so no overloading. All you can eat for a more than fair price.

The food is mediocre. Nobody cleans the empty plates on your table even if you tell somebody. There is a guy walking back and forth, not sure if the owner but he is useless. Not sure why he is walking back and forth doing nothing. Bad image for the restaurant. Sushi slices are small. You have to constantly call them... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
