Otta and his staff deliver on a month delight with food and wine pairings that are just too good to miss. There is always a wonderful education involved with wine representatives or people from the "regions" attending and sharing their insights. Otta and his staff deliver absolutely exquisite food pairings from their kitchen. Always a surprise and unbelievably delcious choices.... More

We enjoyed a really good dinner mid week as a special treat. We dined early so had a lovely quiet dinner before "the rush" later . The Beef Bourguignon with frites was exceptional with deep flavours and it made you want to lick the bowl! Buttermilk chicken also quite good with a tasty ragout - all in all a really... More

This is a local spot on Bayview's restaurant row. A spot for a quick meal, unpretentious in style. Mains are typical for a French-style restaurant: trout, duck, chicken, steak et frites. Our selections were the trout and chicken, Trout was broiled, with a light crust. Chicken was thighs, deep fried in batter and covered with a shredded vegetable combo. Both... More

A very nice duck confit and well made spicy sausage were the highlights of the meal. Combined with a pleasing atmosphere and kind service made for a pleasant but not exceptional meal.

A Euro flavoured place - good daily specials and friendly service. I was pleasantly surprised and was well fed.

Had dinner using a Groupon. Food was very good. Service was good as well. Nice atmosphere and an enjoyable experience overall. While the steaks that we ordered were not cooked to our liking, they were very accommodating and took the steaks back and cooked one new one and cooked one a little longer. Will definitely return.

It had been too long since we had great French food. Fusion is fine, but it's hard to beat an excellent Duck Confit, Beef Bourguignon, seafood bouillabaisse, shallot vinaigrette salad dressing, onion soup, etc. Cocktails also excellent - not a flaw.

Went here with my husband recently. We started with the escargot-delicious! It was 12 dollars which is a fair price for a starter. Next we had the burger and the fish stew, we thoroughly enjoyed both entrees! The drinks are a bit pricey here, but try finding a decent spot in the city where they aren't. I would definitely recommend... More

Staying in East York

Neighbourhood Profile
East York
East York includes a portion of old, industrial Toronto. Densely populated but incredibly safe, it boasts some of the city's earliest gardens and gardening clubs, attracting green thumbs everywhere. The tranquility of the Don Valley River area, which is rich with Toronto's oldest and tallest forests, is supplemented by the large ensemble of authentic and refurbished Edwardian homes, giving parts of East York allure. The other draw is for foodies: lovers of Bangladeshi fare will find authentic restaurants and markets in the area, with raw spices and desserts. East York also represents a lot of Toronto's Serbian food culture, and recently, has had an outcropping of solid microbrewery stops. For families, the science center is a favored weekend stop.
