The good: the brisket is so tasty! Delicious flavour -- no knife needed, as it falls apart with a fork. The bad: I've been three times now (had the same thing each time) and each time the garlic mashed potatoes are stone-cold. Pretty disappointing because they (I think) have a nice flavour. Problem is: waitress #1 took our order --... More

An excellent place for family and friends. The main dishes are slow cooked beef sweet and delicious The no beef items include fish and chicken and the Parmesan flies are to die for. So put the diet aside and enjoy the protein overdose.

The food is great we had the plate and it was wonderful to get a taste of everything. I have never seen ribs that fall off the bone like that. Only thing is we would ask if the sauce is hot or not ...we don't do hot

We live near Stack and eat there regularly. Food is always good and consistent. Staff have always been friendly. We always go to Stack when friends and family visit. The Parmesan fries are a must have!!

This is my second visit, it seems that the food takes quite a while. It took about 40 minutes to get a burger made. There must have been an issue in the kitchen as we didn't complain, yet they gave us free donuts with an apology. The burger itself is pretty good, and so were the donuts.

Poor all around!! Made reservations early in the week and didn't get seated where i requested.Waited 50 minutes to get our food. Coke was served in a dirty glass. All 5 of us felt sick later that night. So much for a "Happy Birthday" dinner. ☹☹☹☹☹

We are BBQ snobs admittedly, so I'm definitely tough on BBQ joints! This place is very good but not what I'd call a great BBQ place, it's more of a restaurant that serves pretty good q. Upscale diner style layout doesn't fit in with the food type BBQ joint expectation... but it's nice enough. The brisket come chopped, not sliced,... More

I really wanted to like this place. Maybe it was an off night for them. I don't know. Though small looking from the outside, this place is quite large inside - especially since it is multi-story. Stepping inside, you would not think it was a ribs and burger joint. The nicely decorated place with classy lights and comfortable booths look... More

Really BBQ and nice big portions. You won't go home hungry. But save room for dessert, as the mini donuts are awesome!

Clean, friendly, good selection of beers and north American food such as burgers. Outside seating on Yonge Street.

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
