i used to love their pizza and got hooked on sausage onions and mushrooms - was driving by the other day and dropped just when they opened circa 4 pm in for a slice... disappointing - day old slice reheated for full price - dough turned very crunchy - toppings were only 'so'so' - as i was into my slice... We have tried other pizza & Pizza Gigi is the best pizza for delivery. If you are looking for fancy artisan pizza, this is not your pizza restaurant. Pizza Gigi's pizza's are college pizza's. The crusts are not too thin. The tomato sauce is even and not too thick. They add lots of cheese. They also add a fair volume... More

For the price, this place has no competition. Every time we have ordered the pizza was delivered hot, perfect this crust, plenty of cheese, plenty whatever toppings, and the price can't be beat. A favorite for many years.

Ordered from this place twice while on business in TO as it was the only take out open for delivery late night near the hotel. Both deliveries the food was hot and tasted great. On second delivery had to wait over an hour but the driver was very apologetic and nice, said they were busy. Good place!

I have been ordering my pizza from Pizza Gigi for at least 15 years. I have occasionally tried out other pizza and only confirmed Pizza Gigi is the best. They do not skimp on the cheese - so, this is not healthy pizza. But, most importantly, the crust is never soggy - it is fluffy and crisp. The toppings are... More

These guys have been around for decades and it's no surprise at all… Capicollo pizza is my personal gave and goes well with a !Brio. Especially awesome after a great night of clubbing or partying. I can't express how grateful I was, to be able to enjoy a few slices after being in East Asia for a few years. Nothing... More

Best combination of toppings including some great veggie. Have not lost a step over the years. Used to eat there a lot 25 years ago and it's still the best slice in town.

We stopped late one night. In spite of the late hour, they had at least 12 different slices with unique toppings to offer. The two slices we chose were excellent.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
