Our daughter just moved to the area, and we wanted to take her to dinner. Chose Balsamico based on the reviews & menu, and we couldn't have been happier. Food selection and quality was fantastic, and the service was spot on! Definitely recommend making reservations...and trying this gem!More

My favourite Italian ristorante in the city. Wonderful food and consistent, exemplary service (professional, very experienced), and a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Great for a date, time out with friends, or business. Terrific value.

My business partner and I along with our frequent local fine dining establishments on a monthly basis. We spare no expense. I have been to this restaurant on two separate occasions but tonight will be our last visit to this restaurant. Typically I refrain from...writing reviews as our experiences have been generally very good to excellent. I will say that the food is very good. Tonight though I felt compelled to write a review. Our reservations were for 4 ppl at 630 pm. My wife and I arrived at 625 and were promptly seated. We proceeded to order athec1st of two $70 bottles of wine. Our party was a bit late and showed up at 655pm. At 645 the manager/ owner approached us to inform us that they had a second seating at 830, when she saw the disgust in my face she quickly rebutted by saying that they would make it work. RUSHED. This set the evening off to a very poor start. We promptly ordered focaccia and olives followed by antipasti and our mains. My wife's order was placed and later told that they ran out of the veal she had ordered. While my partners wife was eating her antipasto both the owner and the serving staff walked by on two seperate occasions to see if she was done. RUSHED The owner then came back to my wife and asked if she would like to change her meal to something closer to that which she had originally ordered. My wife agreed. The owner then proceeded to go place the order rolling her eyes and huffing away. Totally unprofessional. We were with good company and I wasn't going to let her incapability, unprofessionalism, and poor management skills ruin our evening. She did however come to ask how our mains were. In general they were good, with the exception of my pasta dish. I handed her my mostly complete meal indicating that the pancetta was burnt. I expect nothing in return but at the very least an apology. RUSHED RUDE CLASSLESS. Now having been told at 645 that we only had till 830 we recieved a desert menu at 811. I know this because I was forced to be conscious of the time. At 823 she asked if we would like to order desert ....but we would need to relocate seats NEVER EVER have I been asked to move seats. 4ppl our bill was $ 500. I would spend $1000 anywhere else but at Balsamico. Disgusting experience. I would like to however commend our waiter the staff and the chef for a great job. But this restaurant would be better served with a more welcoming and professional manager focused on customer service.More

Early evening dinner with friends trying out a new Italian restaurant. Very welcoming hostess and an extremely pleasant and helpful waitress (Flavia) whom we found out later was married to the chef (a plus++). Restaurant has a very good variety of Italian dishes including vegan...options. Our party of 4 tried out fish, pasta, chicken and a combo seafood pasta. All were excellent, served hot and good portions. A very good assortment of wines and prices makes up their wines list. Service was prompt, cheerful and full of recommendations. We noted quite a few tables were repeat customers with a very "family" atmosphere with the staff. Definitely a keeper worth a return visit.More

We went on a Tuesday night, table for 6 at the window. We shared a couple of appetizers, Focaccia and Calamari Fritti. Service was excellent. We ordered some wine, but our water glasses were refilled regularly as well. I return to this restaurant for their...char-grilled squid, beautifully done, tender, just perfect. Everyone was happy with their main course. For dessert we shared Caramel cheesecake and Tiramisu, wonderful.More

We opted for a local restaurant for “date night” and were very happy with our evening. Food was amazing and came out in a timely fashion! Our server was great with checking in on us, but not over doing it. The manager/owner greeted us warmly...and also checked in on us midway through our meal. We will definitely becoming back. My only suggestion is to expand the beer selection as they currently only offer 2.More

There were 8 of us booked for a Birthday celebration for two of the ladies. We were told that we must be there exactly at 6pm, because they had another table of 8 coming in and we had to be done by 8pm. (One of...the other girls booked this for us) I would have hung up the phone if someone told me this! I gave this a 3 rating, because the food was lovely, but the customer service was pretty shabby! A bottle of wine was ordered for the B-day girls and the rest of us ordered individually. I ordered a glass of wine ($14.99) and when it came, I thought maybe she got thirsty on the way to the table and had a couple sips, lol. So I asked what size is tthis? 5 oz! Needles to say, this would not last very long, as we didn't even order yet. Finally, ordered a salad (Portobello w/goat cheese, lovely btw) also the same price as the 5oz glass of wine. So, I asked for another glass, but could I have a 6 or a 9oz? No! All we have is a 1/2 ltr! I don't want a 1/2 ltr for myself, I just want a decent glass of wine. This is where the lack of costumer service comes in: There are 8 of us, we are all going to eat and drink and you can't charge me a could dollars more and fill the glass? No too bad was the attitude! So I ordered it and said I would just share it. A couple people had a little bit and then I just left it there, as we were done. Plus, they had another crowd coming! They seemed that they were rushing up out, I did not appreciate this! Long story short, that 1/2 ltr was...wait for it...$41 for whatever house wine they put in it!! I had no idea how much it would be at time time, but assumed it would be apprx $25-29. I am attaching a picture of the bill! On top of that she added a 18% tip for herself. I'm sorry, she did nothing to help me out, but helped herself to a $12.60 tip on a $14.99 salad! That's all I had people a SALAD! The total bill for a glass of wine and a salad: $93.33!!!! See below! No lie!More
