The service was excellent. Marina was wonderful! The food was exceptional. Manager was charming and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us even though they were very busy. Loved every minute of it.

Reservation was for 7:30. Received our dinner at 9:45. Was told/asked by server to order early as there was a large party and he wanted to ensure we got our food first. Well that did not happen. We ordered early as requested and had to...ask a number of times where our meal was. Noticed that tables who sat after us and ordered after us received their meals before we did. Although the food was good the service was horrific. Noticed a number of staff wearing their face masks beneath their noses or beneath their chins!!! Really during these times the management needs to be more diligent than they are. For this reason I will never go back there.More

Very disappointed. First time here. Vaccine passport not asked for and when we provided it, no piece of ID was asked to verify our identity. People moving around without masks when not at their table. Employees not wearing masks properly or even not at all....100 percent capacity happening …. Thought that was happening Monday October 25th? Flat water offered? 7 bucks for tap water in a bottle? Disappointing Caesar salad … for $15 you need to improve it! Packed venue … we must be missing something.More

Posticino is and will optimize to be my favourite restaurant in toronto. The food is fantastic and authentic, the ambiance is beautiful and the staff is very welcoming and professional. This well-run owner operated establishment has been a staple in the neighborhood for years and...will continue to be for good reason. I recommend anyone looking for a clean, authentic and well priced getaway to a fine dining experience will not be disappointed in choosing Posticino. I definitely will be back soon to get my favourite dish the gnocchi Gorgonzola!More

Came here on a Friday night with my family of 6 and a child. I agree with the previous review. The dishes were on the expensive side because the portions were small. We ordered the calamari but not enough to share. I've seen people post...images of the portion they got of the calamari and we got less. We ordered sparkling water and flat water......yes flat water. Which is plain filtered water in a bottle which is an extra charge of $6.00. Giving this review a one star because food tastes great, but owner needs to work on the portions if your spending over $25 for a bowl of pasta. Servers never came to ask if we needed more drinks or offer dessert menu. My family and I left hungry!!!More

Went with our family of seven...it was okay. We were still hungry when we left. The veal was okay but small portions for the expensive price. The veg's sides were terrible. My son ordered a steak with a tiny amount of fries at approx. $38....No ketchup. What's up??? The pasta was good but for $20....I'll cook my own .99 pasta at home. The fried calamari at $20 is definitely not worth it. The KEG resturant by far has the best fried calamari for $14. For an Italian resturant ...the bruschetta was served on thin sliced bread...not ITALIAN. The seating was near the front door and the cold air hitting my back...eh! Never again. Over all if you have a small appitite go for it. P.S. after dropping $350.00 it will be a long time before we go out again.More

A well known but worthy destination. Comfortable, better than casual. Food options aplenty--pasta is made I -house. There are no bad choices! Service is attentive but discreet.

My husband and I won a gift certificate for this restaurant and so we didn't know what to expect. My husband is Italian and spent many years travelling to Itlay with his family and enjoying authentic Italian food. I'm a mangia cake and a painfully...picky eater. We had heard a few commercials for this restaurant but otherwise knew nothing about it. We were very pleasantly surprised. The service was fantastic from the moment we walked in. We were promptly greeted and seated. Jade approached us first to offer us drinks. I am still learning to like wine, so I have trouble finding a wine I like. Jade took a minute to find out what I like and suggested a wine that tasted similar. He offered a sample and we ended up ordering a whole bottle. My husband loves most wine so he usually ends up drinking my wine for me. Not this time. Their wine selection was incredible. They had an excellent price range as well - everything from $38 bottles up to $2000! And they display many wines on the walls around the room creating quite the ambiance. Our waitress Adele (sp?) was friendly and attentive. She was so knowledgeable about the menu and circulated the room with efficiency. At one point, my husband dropped his knife on the floor - it was so quickly replaced, we didn't even have time to ask! The manager Frank came by a couple of times and was always in view. He was seen delivering food and interacting with guests all night, unlike other restaurants where the manager usually stands around telling the staff what to do - it was apparent he didn't need to. The staff run like a well-oiled machine and pick up where their coworkers left off to provide a seamless service. And of course, the food! The food was phenomenal, and I don't say that lightly. We started with Calamari Fritti and a Lentil Soup. The calamari was PERFECTLY seasoned and cooked. It was easily the best calamari I've ever had. The lentil soup was robust and flavourful without being too overpowering. It was simply amazing. For our mains, I had the Fucilli Pollo and my husband had the Costolette D’Agnello (lamb chops). The lamb was perfectly seasoned and cooked - it made my mouth water. There was some sort of pan-fried potato stick - sounds pretty basic but again, so delicious! The pasta was unbelievable. I'm not sure how they managed such a perfect blend of flavours, these chefs are magicians! Usually, these types of dishes are good for a bite or two, but then there are too much of one of the flavours (garlic, onion, etc) that overpower your palate - not this place. My tastebuds were in heaven!More

Classic italiano ristorente...Good food. Good service with experience waiters. No extraordinary plates but a cozy ambiance, very good wine. Talking of wine, if you are an expert, there is quite a cellar back there, impressive.

Absolutely.!! We have driven by Posticino on many occasions but tried it for a recent family birthday dinner, and we were VERY impressed. Staff were extremely attentive and were quite informative about the specials, really worked at any dietary issues, and had no problem altering...menu items to suit. (This is always an indicator to me, that the food is made fresh on-site) Everyone really enjoyed their meals, from seafood pastas to gnocchi. Portions were generous and tasty. The restaurant was very upscale and a lovely setting, but still had quite a comfortable feel with the friendly staff. Looking for special dinner around Queensway and Royal York - Posticino is great bet.More

We had a family meal here and chose this restaurant because of a promotion. It's a cute place and was quite busy. But despite the crowd, the service was very good. The food was also good but within our group, anyone who didn't order pasta,...left hungry as the portions are not very big. It was also a little cold in the restaurant despite being seated at the back. While it was a nice evening, we wouldn't necessarily rush back.More

Based on advertising we tried Posticino for our 48th Wedding Anniversary. Impressed by the venue and the staff, with only one exception (20 min. Wait for our cheque. Appetizers were very good and looking forward to the entrees. The entrees were disappointing. Amongst the entrees...were ‘Orata Butterfled and Grilled’ (fish was dry, over cooked and tasteless), ‘Lamb Chops’ (initial taste excellent but as you ate closer to the bone the taste changed drastically and had an acid taste), ‘Veal with Lemon’ (good but dry, chewy), ‘Gnocchi Gorgonzola’ (excellent) and ‘Penne alla Vodka’ (the sauce was nothing expected, very heavy tomato taste not the light pink sauce expected, sauce was same with other pasta dishes with tomato sauce). Summarizing: Not very good vs price paid, expected more.More
