My boyfriend and I were staying downtown Toronto and planned to eat at Gretzky's but they were closing. So we then walked around and came across this place. It's a small place but as a big sports fan I liked the vibe. I had a hard time deciding what to get but I went with the fish and poutine and... More

I was at an investment course at the Hyatt regency and went to Gabby's across the street for lunch. Nice pub/restaurant. Didn't have to wait long to be seated and the atmosphere was very casual. I ordered the chicken burger with kale slaw at the server's recommendation. It was a very good burger and as a first timer, the kale... More

we had to see the Cabaret show and we stop by for a quick lunch. The portions are good and food was good. We only ordered appetizers as that is the fastest to get and everything was great. Service was great too as in staff was helpful and knowledgable. will go back and recommend.

We stopped here before heading to the theatre to see a show. Location was perfect as it was across the street from where we needed to go, food was just ok though. Just average bar food with nothing standing out. Pitcher of beers are also quite small but they are only $8

Quaint, cozy bar most excellent Poutine!! Burger and fries, average bar burgers. But server was a little lacking in attention, but that was made up for by the other server who was more helpful and friendly.

Visited there for the second week in a row (which I don't usually do) as I had tickets to a show in the area. The restaurant is casual and small, however the food it DELICIOUS. The service is great.

On a Wednesday night this location was steady but not overwhelmingly busy. So why did it take 17 minutes to even get glass of water? The food was even slower. I've been to other locations and expected similar pub food, instead, I received mediocre lukewarm food. Fries should never be served cold!!!

My wife and I walked up to this restaurant for lunch after visiting Ripley's Aquarium. The server was very friendly, and very efficient. Service was excellent, and the food was very good. Not top quality but it's not a high-end place either. Very good value for what you pay for, and better food than other fast casual chains we've had... More

Welcome to Gabby's, a Canadian restaurant/bar chain with a strong focus on great quality, mainstream casual food at affordable prices. Proudly Serving Neighbourhoods for 22 years! Gabby's was founded in 1989 by a local Toronto based family. Situated on Yonge Street, north of Lawrence Avenue in the heart of a populated upper-middle-class neighbourhood, the concept was simply to create a cozy environment that was well suited to have great conversations, served quality freshly cooked meals and offered great draft beer and spirit selections. After more then two decades of fine-tuning, product development, and loads of hard work, we have what you see today. As of 2012, we have eighteen locations (15 under the banner name Gabby's) We currently serve over 35,000 customers a week. Today, we still offer a stimulating atmosphere with lots of conversation pieces on the walls and serve excellent quality, fresh cooked meals. We are defined as a main stream casual dining restaurant with an integrated sports bar area that caters to the community and local businesses. We provide friendly, attentive service in a relaxed environment by staff and owners that truly enjoy their job.

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
