Came here with about 15 friends to watch the Raptors playoff game and the staff was amazing! Food was great too (I recommend the chicken avocado sandwich). A DJ started playing old school hip hop around 11. Would come back for sure.

From the get go the service was great! The staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. As it was our first time in Canada Charles said we had to try the poutine, and we were not disappointed, absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend a trip to The Corner Place! Love the Brits abroad

Stopped in with a couple buddies for an afternoon beer on Saturday. We managed to get the last seats on the patio (we shared a table with two women). Had a pitcher of Steam whistle. Great place to people watch. Will be back again.

Great place, with good beers and very kind staff. The location is great, close to Saint Lawrence market. There's a patio where you can enjoy your drinks and food outside.

We stumbled upon this place for brunch because a bunch of other places were full. It turned out to be a pretty good spot. It was in September and the weather was still nice so we were able to eat outside at the picnic style tables they had. A lot of the ingredients of the food were sourced from across... More

We like this spot because it's one of the nicer bars in the neighbourhood, and it's got a nice community vibe. They have drink deals on weekdays, and the food is absolutely delicious. Some of the best poutine in the city, in my opinion. Food is pricey, though, as it is in a prime tourist location, so don't come here... More

Sat outside to have a drink with friends. Full of smoke from patrons who smoke next to the patio and throw their cigarettes away on the sidewalk. The waitress did could not do anything about it or at least provide an ashtray. Terrible experience.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
