It irks me when a decent eatery allows the interior design agenda to override the dining experience, as is the case with Bent. A small group of us were seated inside, in the back by the glass wall. The din of the room made our...More

Usually money in the bank whatever Susur is cooking...this time however, tasters menu left us wanting...of the 5 dishes they brought to our table, 2 were 8/10, the others a sadly weak 5/10...slaw and Octopi were the best dishes...chinese chicken, scallops, and bean salad served...More

We went here for the first time for my husbands birthday. He loves Asian Fusion and had previously enjoyed Susur Lee's original restaurant on King. Took a chance and we were very pleasantly surprised by the delicious tasting menu. Only thing we did not enjoy...More

I had the slaw and fish (of the day) served raw in vinaigrette. Both meals were exceptionally amazing and tasty. The atmosphere was superbe and the overall price for such a meal was not too bad, actually! Felt a strong commitment for quality, in the...More

My wife has been here a few times, but I was never available, and now I know what I've been missing. Relatively quiet as it was a weeknight. Excellent service, excellent menu, excellent atmosphere.

I was really excited for this dinner since my husband booked it well in advance, I love LEE and have heard great things about Bent. Maybe my expectations were high but considering the evening and the restauranteur, I assumed everything would run smoothly. We went...More

Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination
for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip

flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities,
with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to

Description
Superstar chef Susur Lee designed the menu and still oversees the kitchen but hands over the reins to his sons Kai & Levi Bent-Lee. In this up and coming Dundas west neighborhood the boys have chosen a laid back vibe emphasis on great food and imaginative drinks. The decor also a family affair designed by the boys mother Brenda Bent and her partner Karen Gable. Critics agree Susur Lee has done it again! Favorites include Tartare Two Ways, Chicken Dumplings, Kale and Tofu Salad , a decidedly Asian flare with house brewed sake. A lively environment with great service
