The food was absolutely brilliant!!! One of my fav the seared salmon sashimi with the yuki sauce! Heaven in the mouth! The spicy tuna ceviche was refreshing. We had the grilled octopus and also the braised beef. They are all soooo good! Wish to go try out some other stuff on their menu. And reservation highly recommended to avoid any... More

We went here for the first time for my husbands birthday. He loves Asian Fusion and had previously enjoyed Susur Lee's original restaurant on King. Took a chance and we were very pleasantly surprised by the delicious tasting menu. Only thing we did not enjoy was the highly over priced wine menu - $108 for a bottle of wine seemed... More

I had the slaw and fish (of the day) served raw in vinaigrette. Both meals were exceptionally amazing and tasty. The atmosphere was superbe and the overall price for such a meal was not too bad, actually! Felt a strong commitment for quality, in the food served and the service. Strongly recommend it.

Three of us shared the signature slaw, the grilled octopus, Szechuan-style garlic shrimp and the Chinese garlic roasted chicken.... The slaw lived up to its' reputation, seafood and chicken perfectly cooked and the dishes were so interesting and the flavours, really terrific. This left us some room for dessert which was also a signature dish and very good but I... More

We went here for their most recent winterlicious menu. The food was very good. We ordered 1 extra thing off their a la carte menu that was very delicious. When they had called confirm our reservation, they had asked if we were celebrating any special occasions and we told them it was my birthday. On top of the dessert that... More

My wife has been here a few times, but I was never available, and now I know what I've been missing. Relatively quiet as it was a weeknight. Excellent service, excellent menu, excellent atmosphere.

I was really excited for this dinner since my husband booked it well in advance, I love LEE and have heard great things about Bent. Maybe my expectations were high but considering the evening and the restauranteur, I assumed everything would run smoothly. We went for a set meal with 5 courses on Valentines ($ 95pp). The only items we... More

We went during Winterlicious and shared everything at the suggestion of the wonderful staff. The octopus was unbelievably delicious, the texture was so perfect! I usually stay away from octopus but after seeing the plate served to another guest, I had to give it a try and so glad I did!! The jerk ribs were so very tasty, the tuna,... More

Booked here for Winterlicious. Research said to be sure to order the Singapore salad with 19 ingredients and it did not disappoint...for $25 it was delicious! Very polished service as we followed with the curried squash soup, tasty but could not identify the bits floating in it. The sticky ribs were a bit of a disappointment. Two large meaty pieces... Superstar chef Susur Lee designed the menu and still oversees the kitchen but hands over the reins to his sons Kai & Levi Bent-Lee. In this up and coming Dundas west neighborhood the boys have chosen a laid back vibe emphasis on great food and imaginative drinks. The decor also a family affair designed by the boys mother Brenda Bent and her partner Karen Gable. Critics agree Susur Lee has done it again! Favorites include Tartare Two Ways, Chicken Dumplings, Kale and Tofu Salad , a decidedly Asian flare with house brewed sake. A lively environment with great service

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
