I booked a reservation for a group of friends to celebrate a special occasion. However, despite having a reservation, my party was kept waiting approximately one hour for a table. After two hours, our mains still had not arrived. I have dined at the sister restaurant in New York City and this one is inferior. I will never return to... More

The hotel itself is the usual four seasons style. Nothing spectacular in particular. There's only one restaurant. The food at this restaurant was so so & would not let me do 'to go' - to eat in my room. I had to cut my stay short. No wonder the owner is selling it.

I had breakfast at this French restaurant. It was a long waiting until my order came. I wish they could serve some bread first so I didn't have to drink the coffee with an empty stomach. My Italian frittata finally came but it was nothing impressed at all. So did the American breakfast my husband ordered. With the price they... More

I visited Cafe Boulud during Restaurant Week - which is an excuse many restaurants fall back on when their showing is not strong. Alas that is indeed an excuse, and everyone knows what excuses are like...and everybody's got one. Cafe Boulud advertises itself as a "bistro." However, to access the restaurant by the most obvious route, one must traverse a... More

Staying at the Four Seasons in Yorkville affords one a plethora of dining choices within a five minute walk. I have had three meals in a row at Cafe Boulud. I was hooked at breakfast and two dinners have followed solely based and the anticipation of what flavours would next leap from the artistic presentations all harkening to grand Paris.... More

Brought my buddy here for his birthday and we loved this place. All dishes were great, our server Edie was friendly and very attentive. Recommend the duck confit and the baked Alaska (obviously not French but we ordered it as my buddy's birthday cake), Duck was crispy outside and juicy inside; the baked alaska was with flambéed. Definitely will go... More

We had a very nice meal here. Great cocktails and also steak frites. Our son was accommodated well by the staff and really enjoyed the food and the experience. It is nice to have a great grown up meal where kids are also welcome. Will return soon.

Cafe Boulud is a nondescript hotel restaurant, with a bit of whimsy added by framed wooden spoons. It occupies a small area which gives it some intimacy. I had the Quenelle de Brochet, their signature dish, which has a mousse-like texture. It was outstanding. My daughter had the Linguini du Sud which was over-salted, and the clams were chewy. Not... A friend and I met for dinner on March 1st. We started with the large beef tartar and shared it. It was classic and fantastic. We then shared the duck and Arctic char as mains again the meals were great. The cauliflower purée was fantastic with the char which was lightly crisp and moist. The duck was perfectly cooked, the... Description
Located in the flagship Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, Café Boulud, by Chef Daniel Boulud, serves a soulful menu deeply rooted in French tradition, set in the style of a lively French brasserie, and inspired by Chef Daniel's family's meals in Lyon. The kitchen boasts a gleaming rotisserie-the only one of its kind in downtown Toronto-with both vertical and horizontal spits allowing for simultaneous cooking of meat, poultry, fish and vegetables. The menu features the best French classics, as well as unexpected items inspired by Chef Daniel's curiosity and love for travel. The playfully retro-modern restaurant designed by Martin Brudnizki, located in the iconic Yorkville neighborhood, includes a dining counter and private dining room for up to eight guests. The dining room is warm and comfortable, defined by a wraparound bar and intimate, low-banquette seating.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
