Pub atmosphere, good food, good service. Hamburger and 2 beer came to $44, which was a bit more than the surrounding pubs.

Pipers is an excellent addition to the Royal York and I'm glad it's there. The menu and beverage selection here is wonderful, the service is excellent and the atmosphere very much appeals to the mid range customer. I would love to dine here next time I stay at the Royal York.

Visited Piper's Pub this past weekend on a trip to Toronto. We wanted a place for pub food and tv's so we could watch Hockey Night in Csnada. Piper's fit the bill. The food was good, particularly the spinach and artichoke dip which was yummy! But the highlight of our visit was our interaction with our bartender, Jeff. He was... More

We chose this pub because we were staying at the Royal York. The food was great and the server was very friendly. Would eat here again if I was staying at the Royal York.

Stayed at the Royal York and chose to eat here because it was in the hotel. Had one of the best burgers I've ever eaten and the wide selection of beers and ales were a treat. Service was great--but it was early in the evening. Don't know how it would be when the place is packed. A little noisy, but... More

Very cute and fancy place in the heart of Toronto downtown! Nice sport bar with good meal and drinks. There are also special deals at the days when Toronto teams play.

So I came here with 9 friends the night the bluejays we're in the wildcard game ... the place holds about 130 people .... so the place was jammed ... and the executive chef in his infinite wisdom closes the kitchen at 9:45pm .... ok so we all know how hard I am on hotel lobby bars that close early... My husband and I dropped in for a drink and bite to eat before the hockey game. Our server Alisha was very helpful and friendly. Food was much better then average pub food. Wings and ribs were tasty and the burgers looked terrific as well. Pub is in the basement of the hotel and the atmosphere is intimate and cozy.... More

This pub has great atmosphere, great burgers and excellent service. It is in the Fairmont Royal York and very conveniently located. The staff are very friendly and ready to help with menu requests. The onion rings are the best I've ever had. Thoroughly recommended.

This bar is situated below the lobby level of the Fairmont Royal York. It can be a busy place, especially on game nights. On our first evening we had some food, Classic Burger & Club Sandwich, both fine, well presented, and with an accompaniment of good beer, Mill Street. Game on, great atmosphere, stayed till 11.00pm then turned in for... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
