Rustic setting and ambiance. Good brisket and ribs. I enjoyed the Texas brisket. Reasonable prices and good service. Good spot for dinner before a club.

We were in the mood to dig into some ribs and my buddy suggested this place! Upon arrival the smell of bbq permeates right through the front door. Prior to ordering I actually said I am salavating. We ordered the sampler for 2 and a rack of baby back ribs. The meat comes out dry rubbed and they provide you... More

I checked out Smoke Bourbon with a friend recently after reading many reasonable reviews. The experience started off well enough with the very pleasant and friendly waitress / hostess, who took the time to explain the menu, specials and all the different sauces. With that out of the way, we got our food orders in. We ordered the gumbo and... More

Boy I love this place. From the warm "Welcome" reception at the door to the smiling waitresses that will help you have a feast. Have you ever tried their Louisianna Gumbo soup. It is delicious and is so packed full of hearty ingredients, it can be a meal on itself. One of my fave soups anywhere. Would eat that for... More

A friend that I had not seen in months wanted to meet for dinner on a Sunday evening. He loves meat, so I suggested we do BBQ for dinner. Normally I would go to a restaurant that I know will be good, like Smoque N' Bones on Queen West, but on this particular evening, I was feeling under the weather,... More

Great value for your money, awesome customer service! I definitely will be going back. I would recommend going with a big group, they have a family platter for $80 and you can choose 4 mains and 5 sides.

We were on a road trip from NY to see Yankees and enjoy Toronto. We made some wrong turns after eating in Little Italy and saw the Smoke Bourbon Bar-B-Q House. It looked good so we planned to eat there the following night. It was great. The baby back and Texas ribs were delicious. The sides ( mac & cheese,... More

Caution: when ordering the platters, you get smaller portions and only the items identified with a '*' on the menu are eligible (which greatly restricts the options). We did not see this on the menu, at least it wasn't obvious and we had to change our order. The waitress mixed up our drink orders, wasn't as attentive as one would... More

We are BBQ fans and have been happy to see the popularity of this genre of food rise in Toronto; however this restaurant was a major disappointment. We ordered a full rack of baby back ribs, a side of mac and cheese and a side of collard greens to go at a cost of over $30. When we opened the... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
