6 adults and 2 three year olds had dinner last night at LaVinia. We had the patio all to ourselves which was perfect on a warm summer night. None of us had ever been to LaVinia so we weren't sure what to order. We trusted the chef to whip up a dinner for us that we would all enjoy and he did not disappoint. Everything was delicious from the salads to the main course which was the paella. Even the kids loved it. Every effort was made by the waiter to make our experience enjoyable. We will definitely be returning...

We had dinner here recently after a long absence. The experience was equally as good as in the past. The food is first class and authentic. The chef interacts with all guests to ensure you feel welcome and appreciated. Service is caring but not overbearing. A great tapas menu. Lots of seafood, perfectly prepared. Can't say enough good things. Will be going back on a regular basis.

Family owned Spanish tapas restaurant. Cozy romantic atmosphere, fantastic wine made overseas by the family, cordial non obtrusive service.
But the highlight is definitely the food!
Outstanding flavorful gazpacho, incredible salmon carpaccio marinated in brandy, clams with chorizo and white beans, and my personal fav braised octopus.
Very Highly Recommended!!!

Fernando has a way of making everyone feel special at his restaurant. He comes out of the kitchen regularly to greet the patrons, not just to say hi but to have a conversation and thank them.
Food and presentation is always spectacular here. Beibg a Spnaish restaurant, seafood is naturally their specialty.
Cured salmon was delicate and flavourful. Braised octopus is by far best I've ever had. Spicy shrimp with garlic had a nice bite.
However the seafood paella stole the show.
Fried milk dessert was delightful.
Best in the city!

Visite this Restaurant on Family day. Maria (Girl from Zakynthos/Greece) made a very good service. But the Restaurant, I'm talking about an Italian restaurant at 7:15, no more bread and no more olive oil. The salad was served dry with no sauce. That's not how it works. The manager only apologized and didn't apologize. The reason for this was the family day, which is celebrated every year. You can plan that. They also have a pizza oven so you can quickly bake bread. But no, Family Day was to blame. She assured us that next time will be better. But there's no next time for me in these sheds

With Covid stage 3, my first dine in restaurant was La Vinia - in fact I couldn't wait to return.
Salmon carpaccio was served minutes after there family's red.
First time having mussels braised in beer - was fantastic.
Shrimp in garlic olive oil were plump and tasty
Best braised octopus in the city!
Lemon and raspberry sorbet was a nice way to end the experience.

Ordered Veal Carpaccio, Mussels, Arugula Salad, Seared Scallops. We took home the Spanish Meatballs because we were so full. The bread with pesto spread was a meal in itself.
A great experience even with Covid Protocol.

First timers. My parents frequent this restaurant whenever they go out to eat. It was my mom’s first choice for a Mother’s Day dinner, and I can see why. Service is exceptional. Greeted personally by both Fernando the owner and his gracious son. Food was really top notch. Delicious, fresh and HOT (temperature) which rarely ever happens these days. We did not feel like a “number”. Wait staff very attentive, wine was outstanding. Everything that we ate on the menu was really very tasty. You can see that a lot of love goes into this place. I watched as the owner (and head chef, I’m guessing) came out to check on each and every one of his patrons. Where does this ever happen nowadays??

Celebrated my Wife Bday with a fantastic dinner. Tapas: chorizo a la parrilla and gambas al ajillo. Flavourful, right amount of spices, both well done and served. Paella valenciana as a main course. Generous serving for two, Tasty, fresh, a pleasure to see and taste.
House Rioja to accompany dinner and a cream caramel for dessert, the final touch for a great meal.
Chef and Owner Don Fernando and his Team were always around to provide the perfect culinary experience. Gracias !

Fernando once again amazed us.
First red wine from his vineyard.
Anchovies on toast. Best braised octopus around. Delicious crab croquettes.
Seafood risotto was delightful
Fried milk ended the evening.

Fantastic experience as always here. Chef Fernando greeted warmly at the door.
Braised octopus was once again the star of the show - best in the city.
Salmon carpaccio was superb as was shrimp and mushrooms in chili oil.

We've enjoyed dinner here before but decided to order take-out because of Covid. We ordered croquettes, paella and penne for four and they did an excellent job. Everything was ready on time, well wrapped to keep it warm and delicious once it was on the table. If you're looking for dinner to take out, this is a good choice.

If you want to taste authentic Spanish cuisine, this is the place. The tapas were exquisite. The catch of the day and the paella have the best Iberian flavors. Without being very extensive, the wine list offers very good Spanish labels.

Helping our son move into the area we noticed the unassuming restaurant. Our first experience (won't be our last) was simply excellent!!
The ambiance was cozy, family run charm. Food and service was exceptional.
Best dining experience in Toronto in a long time.
Highly recommend anyone reading this to go check out this gem!!!
