We live close by so it is our go to spot. The patio is nice during the summer and the place has a very cosy feel during the winter (with board games available). Food is very good and they have a decent variety of beers and a couple of ciders. The house wine is generally a good deal. The patio... More

This is our favorite little neighborhood gem. Good food, good beer/drinks, and great vibes. Nice little patio in the summer, and very cozy inside in the winter. They have a decent selection of board games too, which are a great complement to evening beers. Food faves are the charcuterie, and the donuts are SO GOOD. Definitely check this place out... More

This place is a gem. It's cozy inside and out. It can accommodate large-ish groups, but the atmosphere is best suited to smaller groups like date night or drinks with friends/co-workers. Also for first time daters, there's a small stash of board games a corner to help break the ice. The design of the booths gives you a sense of... More

This place has a very authentic environment but food was not tasty. Never order rice as it will not be properly cooked. Desserts are extremely sweet. Ribs and beer are not bad and service is great.

We met Junior first, great bar suggestions and fast table with no reservation :)) We started with the house of the day app, pretzels and a beer cheese dip.... Outstanding Risotto Nicely done, steak perfectly seared and the other dish ordered the pork was well again perfectly done. Service and atmosphere:))))

We made our way to The Roxton after spending a hot summer day at the CNE. We had a cozy little table on the patio where we settled in for a truly delicious meal. The servers were efficient but a bit elusive. We both loved our meals (he always orders the special and I was craving a veggie burger with... More

Was in Toronto for a couple days to get away from the 19 days of forest fire smoke in Calgary! We found this little gem. Loved the atmosphere and had the Eggplant Cannelloni. So good!! It is definitely worth the visit.

MY friends and I made reservations based on the online menu & we were very pleased. Service was excellent and the food was comfort food, with some really nice twists. Make your own risotto (unheard of right!) ingredients we chose: cured meat (duck prosciutto) garlic, olive oil and chèvre, was lovely! Also the mussels in a beautiful tomato sugo highly... More

Have been there a bunch of times, but it has gotten consecutively worse each time. The atmosphere is pretty good and it's easy to get a table - rarely seems full inside, although very small. Nice spot for us because we are nearby and don't always want to go down to busy College St. The prices are reasonable and the... More

Service and food were solid with good options for vegetarians and beer lovers too. Great neighbourhood venue but limited seating for larger groups. It's is worth a try!

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
