A friend recommended this place so I tried it. It is a basic takeout place but the service is good and the burgers are tasty. I will go back the next time I am in the mood for a hearty burger!

These guys are awesome! Poutine was made with fresh fries and with lotsa chunks of mozzarella. Burgs and wings reasonably priced. Going to to try their wings next time. The chicken fingers with fries is a sizeable portion. You call and order for pick up, if you want. Definitely a place with its local regular clientele. Angelo the owner is... More

Oh my God, such tasty food! If I'm honest, I was hesitant to try this place but I thought screw it, I'm hungry. So clean inside, two lovely women greeted me as soon as I walked in and the food was so good! I'm a bit greedy when it comes to food (all about the portions) and I wasn't disappointed... More

I've been passing by Retro burger for many years and it never attracted me to try it. Today I decided to do so and I was totally surprised, their burger is really good and the service is quick and friendly. I will go there again... They also have fish and chips and chicken sandwiches

This is another place whose burgers our younger son really likes. I'm less enthusiastic. The burger I had was perfectly adequate, but it was not so good that I've been motivated to go to the restaurant again.

It was my first visit to Retro Burgers and I wanted to check them out. Small location with a few tables, nice decor and a decent menu selection. I ordered the bacon burger with onions rings. Free refills with the combo. Burger was fresh, tasty and a decent portion (5 oz) and the Onion rings were well fried and well... More

Staying in East York

Neighbourhood Profile
East York
East York includes a portion of old, industrial Toronto. Densely populated but incredibly safe, it boasts some of the city's earliest gardens and gardening clubs, attracting green thumbs everywhere. The tranquility of the Don Valley River area, which is rich with Toronto's oldest and tallest forests, is supplemented by the large ensemble of authentic and refurbished Edwardian homes, giving parts of East York allure. The other draw is for foodies: lovers of Bangladeshi fare will find authentic restaurants and markets in the area, with raw spices and desserts. East York also represents a lot of Toronto's Serbian food culture, and recently, has had an outcropping of solid microbrewery stops. For families, the science center is a favored weekend stop.
