The carrot cake is not bad, although the rum flavouring is peculiar, but the cinnamon, buns, cupcake, peach pie—absolutely awful! Good quality ingredients is where it starts- I Didn’t detect butter, for example. No, never again! Sorry, because the server was welcoming and very friendly.

We got into this bakery by chance, attracted by the yummy cakes behind the window. We found ourselves in a small, old-fashioned bakery, the kind where you cannot stop eating! We tried the peach pie, a coconut cake and their masterpiece, the cinnamon bun...absolutely delicious!...I must mention the owner, she is amazing! She made us feel at home. We lost track of time and spent half an hour chatting and laughing! Recommended if you're visiting Toronto!More

I am disappointed with myself in the fact that this is my first time coming to this Junction institution of 46 years. Stepping into SWEET TROLLEY evokes a memory of quaint old time shops of my Bloor West-Swansea days. Wonderfully friendly shopkeeper Helen reminds me...of the days when people actually talked to each other and found momentary pleasantries an enjoyable part of working and shopping. Helen is obviously proud of her wares which are displayed simply and enticingly in the front window and the shop's convex-windowed cases. And the accolades scripted upon posters from DineTO and morning TV show appearances certainly matches the beautiful pastries we saw. And because of all this I feel like it might have something to do with MY tastes for which I should be apologizing. I definitely agree with everyone that the cinnamon buns are sugary and delicious!! If I am going to have a cinnamon bun I want the thicker icing. However, that is where my happiness ends. Looks are deceiving. My favourite element of baking is butter tarts. There seems to be a unique approach to these ingredients here but sadly not to my liking. The tart pastry is twice as thick as it should be, doughy and not the least bit flaky. The inside mixture is half of what it should be and far overpowered by raisins. Fewer is better and there is not enough liquid to appreciate this baking at all. The same type of rather thick dough was the base for the cherry DANISH. The denseness was unexpected compared to the usual light and flaky I have had and expected. The gorgeous top-crusted "strawberry-rhubarb" pie is, once again, inverse. The beautifully crisp and golden top is double thick which leaves the bottom crust too thin and soggy from the the excessive amount of filling. The filling looks like mostly rhubarb, there is no taste of strawberry and it is not the least bit sweet or tart. The cloying flavour was more like a Christmas mince-meat which I did not expect. I certainly do hope it is just my palette.More

Small, quaint little bakery in Toronto’s Junction district. Great service and by far the best cinnamon rolls we’ve ever had. They tasted equally good the next day.

Today I came across this wonderful bakery. My mom and I bought the cinnamon buns, so good... The staff were very friendly and kind, I haven't had that kind of customer service in a long time. I couldn't stop thinking about this bakery all day...and how Helen and her staff made us feel, so welcomed. The cinnamon buns we took to a dinner party and were enjoyed by all, simply delicious!!More

Oh my yummmm... The service and kindness of the lovely staff are matched by the delicious cannoli, scones, pies, squares, cinnamon rolls, and variety of loaf cake. Cash only and trust me you will go back.

Visiting family in this area and my nephew is raving about the cannoli from this place. We stopped after school yesterday - about 3:45 and they were sold out. Stopped this morning and they hadn't prepared them yet - about 9:30 am. The. Stopped AGAIN...this afternoon and they still hadn't prepared them for the day. Quoting my nephew 'three strikes and you're out, Sweet Trolley Bakery.' He was very disappointed and confused somewhat when the woman told us to phone ahead. To get one cannoli. At a bakery. Nope.More

OK local bakery for sweets. The products are not overly adventurous and too sweet for my taste. There are better options close-by.

The cinnamon buns are also fantastic. What a friendly and interesting little bakery. After a sweet breakfast on our first morning, there was no way we were missing this place next day. You'll be transfixed by the sugary and some savoury delights. Really friendly, family...service. I don't think it does the ubiquitous bland cwoffee and nor does it need to. Worth moving to Canada to enjoy this great little place in the Junction.More
