I was brought here by friends as a recommendation. From the hot and sour soup, the chilli chicken and some sort of crispy beef dish, it was all terrible. I have no idea how this place is still open. They also give you dishes from...Amtrak. Somewhere plates are missing from an Amtrak train.More

My wife ordered the Bombay Spicy Chicken. There was hardly any chicken there. All I tasted was a ton of batter from the bits of chicken. It must have been 70% batter. $11 for batter. 😡

We used to go up to the original north-end location for lunch when I worked for Bombardier over a dozen years ago, and we still talk about the food! So imagine my surprise to see one pop up in Leaside as well. The Chili Chicken...is unreal and once a week or so I just have to stop in and order it. This is a fusion place which mixes southern Chinese with a little Indian cuisine (hakka) and hits a sweet spot between the two that every once and a while you HAVE to have. The decor is basic but the people are really nice, the service lightening fast and the value is exceptional - $10 for a large plate with pop.More

A few of us came here on the recommendation by a friend who is a regular here. The service was great, our waitress who seemed like she was the owner or at least the manager was awesome. But the food was terrible. The crispy beef...which apparently is their most popular dish I think gave me diabetes it was so sweet with no spice. All the other dishes were disappointing from the Bombay chicken, the noodles, the chilli chicken and Szechuan fried rice. The hot and sour soup, was really hot water. Avoid, go to Fredericks. Also all their plates had the Amtrak logo on it, so somewhere in the US, a train is missing their plates.More

This place has pretty decent hakka food... Some items are a hit or miss but for the most part everything they serve is pretty delicious and the service is pretty quick. The one item I recommend is the Szechuan shrimp (dry)... The menu doesn't say...you can get it dry but you can still ask for it and it is delicious!More

We were at the Overlea location for lunch. We ordered 3 dishes and were surprised that the food came out in less than 3 minutes after ordering it as we were assuming from the other reviews that the dishes were cooked fresh. Also, the Kung...Pao chicken was a neon -bright red color. When we asked the server what gave the dish this strange color the server responded that it was food coloring. She also claimed that the food was cooked fresh by her two chefs, however this can't be so as we received it within just a few minutes. Also we were charged an extra service fee for a child who did not eat the food at the restaurant due to allergies. One person in our group had a stomach ache after eating here. We were so surprised at all the positive reviews. The restaurant was empty while we were there which itself should have been a tell-tale sign.More

We are treated like family and the owner Malcolm always comes out to greet us even when busy. Amy a beautiful kind soul who is hard working and always has a kind word or smile for their customers. The staff sometimes feels like they are...abrupt but in fact are very good and efficient in the work. Clean place and great food - prices to match what more can you want from a restaurant.More

My brother brought me to this place and we ate some really good food. When it comes to Hakka food I usually only go to either lyn gardens or fredricks as it's always very good. Although I only had rice and chili shrimp I couldn't...believe at how good this shrimp was as I finished all of it and was debating if I should order 1 more of it but was already super full. I will definitely go back again to try other dishes and will let others know as well to check this place out. This restaurant gets two thumbs up for this one dish alone keep up the good workMore
