This is the third time visiting Drake 150. My husband had the short rib burger and fries, and it was outstanding. I especially loved his fries;) I had the house salad which sounds boring, but the greens were so delicious, I felt like they were pulled from the ground that day. Also had the crunchy cauliflower and it was crazy... More

Visited Toronto for a matinee and overnight stay. My husband and I enjoyed dinner at the bar and had a fabulous evening. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and professional. Our dinner was delicious and I can't wait to return.

Stopped by for dinner based on others' reviews. Interesting looking place on the inside, but insanely busy with a live DJ even early in the evening. Sat at the bar with the intention of ordering food. After about a minute I decided to finish my beer ASAP as I was stuck shoulder to shoulder with other customers and was adjacent... More

We waited over an hour to get our food. Apparently despite being around the corner from the Four Seasons Centre and knowing that most of the place was going to a performance they didn't seem to be able to handle it. The place is nice and the menu is good, though the wine list is ridiculously overpriced. The service is... More

You can have some very nice meals here and the mixed drinks are exceptional but expect to pay premium prices for the fashionable location, decor and food. Picks to keep the price down would be the burger (exceptional) and the charcuterie board. Splurge on venison or lamb. One of the top choices in the area.

Came for a business event..typical finger foods and open bar. Nothing stoodout. Overall okay for afterwork drinks.

I dined here with a colleague from work on a weeknight and was surprised to see how busy it was at 6:30pm and onward! There was a live DJ playing upbeat background music (although nothing recognizable) that was great for the atmosphere, although it was difficult to have a conversation. The staff were pleasant and attentive, but didn't really go... More

Enjoyed an early dinner here, sharing food with some friends. Great atmosphere and nice staff. Relaxed environment with some good food and drinks. It might be that we were early and the kitchen didn't have much to do but our food arrived super fast. It was shockingly quick how fast it arrived. Drinks however did sort of take some time,... Had New Year's Day brunch here and I am a bit conflicted about whether or not I liked it! The service was nice and the atmosphere / interior is cozy and cool. There was a live band which was a fun touch. But, the food was a bit disappointing overall. We had the burger and eggs Benedict. Burger was tasty... More

Having visited the original Drake, I was interested in trying this outpost. It was totally worth the visit. The decor is kitschy and retro. The staff were friendly and helpful (although it took a while for our coffee to come - everyone ordered drinks apparently at the same time). I enjoyed the french toast which was VERY sweet and gigantic.... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
