Had dinner on a Saturday night with one of our daughters. We sat on the patio where the smokers are, what an incredible smell. Spoke with the owner while he dealt with the smokers, what a great guy. Dinner was so good. We had one...of the platters along with another entree. Would definitely go back.More

Very delicious smoked ribs, staff very welcoming, the smoked flavours are delicious. Drinks are reasonable .

We had lunch here, pretty well picked it at the last minute on a whim as we were in the area. I really recommend this restaurant if you like smoked or barbecued food, in a laid back atmosphere it was really excellent. They also have...a great brunch menu with Eggs Benedict with or without meats and some good salads. I had a salad with fried chicken and melted cheese on top, it was really tasty. 3 of us the bill was $50 including tip, you cant go wrong for a great meal. I have been told the burgers are great, that is for next time! They also have some home made hot sauces that were great. Will definitely be back.More

We arrived in Toronto and were staying on Earl Grey Ave just off Danforth. We heard some great reviews of places on Danforth and after a trip to the bank we fell into the Greenwood Smoke House....we were enticed in by the cool exterior and...the R2D2BBQ sat outside. We were greeted instantly by a lovely bart tender who advised us on what beers were the best and we took his advise which turned out to be good advise. The beers we ordered were cans but they do also have draft and on some nights all the beers on a certain menu were just $5 each. On our first visit my boyfriend ordered a pulled pork sandwich, I can't remember the details of it but it came with chips that were delicious and he thoroughly enjoyed it! I ordered the Danforth Decker, single not double and it may just have been one of the best decisions I have made in my life! As the bart tender described it, it's an advanced grilled cheese sandwich. It came with grilled bread packed with cheese, pulled pork, brisket and bacon cooked in a bbq sauce that tasted like maple syrup treacle heaven! It was a beautiful meaty, greasy sandwich accompanied with seriously delicious fries that were clearly cooked in house! A few days later we'd had a few beers in Yonge-Dundas and I craved a Danforth Decker so much we headed back! The second sandwich was even better than the first and it was a different Chef so they no how to maintain their standards! The over all feel of the place is cool with movie features dotted around for decor. I wouldn't say this place was particularly pricey in comparison to the UK. You'd probably pay more in a town centre in the UK so i'd say the cost is average for a main road and for the quality. 100000% recommend this place!More

4 of us visited for dinner and we were not disappointed. It was really really good. The burgers were fantastic. The beer was good. The desert was lovely too. I would definitely recommend you go here!!!

I'm a BBQ enthusiast and for like 4 years when i lived in London I had access to the best bbq that's ever been made (Shmokey Rob N'Sons, try it if you're out there, it's amazing). I've had every notable BBQ place in Toronto -...this one beats them all hands down. Consistent food, no lining up, nice people, easy to get to. The Danforth Decker is my favorite sandwich in the whole city, by far. It's the kind of thing for which you gotta plan ahead because it just demolishes you for a couple hours afterwards. Go check it out, you'll dig it.More

Had driven by and decided to check it out after seeing the menu online. I wanted to try several of the menu items. The place was busy but we got a table quickly. Our waitress Mich explained the special and gave us recommendations which we...followed, she was nice and attentive and our beer glasses were never empty for long. The poutine was excellent with a smoky mushroom meat sauce. It was wing night and they were meaty, smoky and tasty. The andouille sausage had a bit of a bite and it was large and I loved it. Finally the Memphis rib tips were my favourite, crispy outside, tender inside, with a great sauce and taste. I could smell the smoke on me hours after I finished, a very happy smell. I will be back as there are many other things to try there.More

We stopped in for a late lunch on Sunday. They serve brunch till 3pm. My husband ordered the single decker with fries. I ordered the breakfast with bacon. I had no choice on toast and two very small pieces of bacon AND they do not...have jam or peanut butter for the toast. This was $12. The baked beans they rave about were the worst I’ve ever had. My smoked bacon was deep fried. What a waste. My husbands sandwich was supposed to have bacon with the pulled pork. He said there was only one piece of bacon on the whole sandwich and it was on the last half he ate. There are a lot better places on the Danforth to eat. Try something else.More

Not only was the food AMAZING, but the Customer Service was well above and beyond what I've experienced lately! We were not pressured to rush, the food was amazing (we got the selection tray for 2 but landed up taking almost half home!) portion size...was great, absolutely nothing negative to say at all! Will definitely be back!More

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place that had BBQ meat, a d she stumbled upon this place. It looked good and we were going to go there for dinner, even though it was a bit of a drive. We then went in...their gallery on their website to look at the pictures. It all looked good, but then we saw a picture that turned us off totally. It was a picture of a bunch of tiny baby pigs, with the caption 'MMMMMMMMM' and below it said 'Bacon Seeds'. Now, I like meat, as does my gf, and we're certainly not vegetarians. That said, it is in EXTREMELY poor taste to put a picture like that online and it showed poor judgment. There's no need for that kind of nonsense and if that's supposed to be humorous it's not AT ALL. Shameful, you certainly lost our business and I'm sure we're not the only ones turned off by that.More

And not because the server wasn't busy. She was. But I can't stand it when a place is understaffed. We'd been sitting at the table at least 15 minutes and were ready to order. She came by to take our order and we started to...give it and she said "No, not your food order. I'm only taking your drinks order." I've never once had this happen before. So we ordered our drinks and they came in pretty good time. But another ten minutes passed and she still didn't come by to take our food order. We'd been sitting about 25 minutes at this point. We decided to give up and just pay for the drinks. When I went up to pay for the drinks her attitude was a bit of "Sure, whatever." Understaffed or not the service was still pretty crappy. Was the food good? I'll never know.More

This is an unpretentious small restaurant with very tasty food. We had the brisket sandwich which is very very good.
