The decor is bland but airy. The place was empty. It took some time for the waiter to acknowledge us & take our orders. Food was excruciatingly slow in arriving. The salads were good. My chicken souvlaki platter was very large, extremely salty & the chicken breast partially dry. The humus was simply a NO. The lamb burger was good. The waiter was personable. Would we return ... maybe, if there were no other choices in the area.

Leaves a lot to be desired...

Although the ambiance and space was appealing, the food left much to be desired in comparison to other Greek places my family and I have gone to. The waitstaff were friendly but did not come to check on us unless we called them to our table. Washrooms were filthy...not 1 roll of toilet paper in all 3 stalls and none of the sensored flushes were working. I told a waitstaff that there was no toilet paper close to the beginning of our time there and even by the end when my sister and mom went in, still no toilet paper. The Tilapia was extremely salty but the Saganaki and the Greek fries were good. We came for Summerlicious but unfortunately the family was in consensus that there would not be another visit here anytime soon.

The interior is very spacious, I ended up ordering the saganaki as an appetizer and ordered the chicken souvlaki salad as my main dish. The chicken tasted very moist. Overall I was satisfied and everything tasted very good. I am surprised reading the previous reviews because I had no issues dining here at all. I would return again.

I visited the restaurant yesterday with my date and we were impressed and overwhelmed by Dominic's hospitable service .The food was average I ordered lamb chops and my date ordered chicken pasta. The service was nice and smooth and that will be the reason l will be returning soon.

Total disaster, do NOT use this restaurant for corporate catering. This restaurant messed up my order and were completely unprofessional and unapologetic. I was informed an hour before the event that they could not deliver on time, a corporate event that had been scheduled for executives visiting from out of town. To avoid embarrassment, I asked if half my quantity could be delivered to meet the event and they agreed. The first batch of food, potatoes, rice and chicken - a third of my order, was 20 minutes late. The remaining order was delivered an hour late, when the event ended. Completely unprofessional, they ignored my calls and only reached out a day later to “apologize”, which was an email blaming traffic and offering an insulting 10% discount for an order that never arrived. Do not use for catering services!

We always order from Krystos for our work lunches and the food is always amazing and never fails. Saustino is always so helpful and accommodates to any questions + requests we have. Excellent service that makes us want to continue to order. Theres so many spots around the city but the food and service keeps bringing us back.

Must try! This place was amazing, so glad we stumbled upon this hidden gem. The food was so flavorful so delicious. The day we went it suddenly got so packed and not enough waiters but they tried and were so amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

When you walk in, the restaurant is simply beautiful. The decor is so lovely. They offer modern Greek Cuisine that is ohhh so yummy!! The menu is quite extensive and there is so much to choose from. You want to try everything!

My family and I discovered this hidden gem in the winter of 2013, and have been coming here ever since for various family birthday parties, anniversaries, date nights, lazy evenings when we don't feel like cooking, and as of recently, for take-out (due to COVID19). We find this place to beats the quality of Greek food found on the Danforth (Toronto's beloved Greektown) and It's close to where we are in the (nearly) suburbs of Toronto. The ambiance/location: This restaurant is located in North York, Toronto, walking distance from Yorkdale mall and on a bus route. We always drive there and we never have trouble finding parking (seriously this area has tonnes of parking). Once you enter, you're met with typical wooden restaurant tables and booths, with an option for outdoor eating in the summer. The walls on the inside are painted with a background of a greek island, and the music is almost strictly greek (whether traditional, pop, etc). Perhaps some may not like that level of authenticity, but we sure do. Though the mural is nice, and the place is always kept very very clean (including bathrooms, I know that's important to mention), I wouldn't say this is the most beautiful restaurant to go to. Aesthetics, it definitely scores a 3-4 stars. The service: Always (and when I say always, i mean ALWAYS) very friendly, home-y, welcoming, and relatively quick. We always end up conversing with the waitresses/waiters whenever we go. 5 stars for this category The food/drinks: The drinks are never something I strongly pay attention to, when I visit places, but we always order wine/beer to accompany our food, and they have a decent selection. Now for my favourite: THE AMAZING DISHES. Each meal comes with a small salad (free) which is really yummy and topped with onions, their own dressing (so yummy), black olives, tomato & feta cheese. If you are like myself, and do not like onions, TELL THEM. They will not tell you that a salad is coming, so since we already know this, I kindly ask them to hold the onions. For mains, I almost always order the any of the Souvlaki dinner and it always, always, always comes out just as delicious as the last time. They come with a side of tzatziki dip (the best i've ever tried) and I find I always need to ask for 2 because I can't get enough of the stuff. The rice that comes with it is to die for, as well as the potatoes. It comes with a lemon wedges which I think adds another level to the taste of the food, though it isn't at all necessary to include. The meat is always done to perfection. As for other options, my father/sister in law and brother tend to order the fish/seafood dishes and everything we've tried so far, has been nothing short of amazing. The only dessert we've dared to try here was the Baklava, which is quite good, however, because the mains' portions are very generous, we almost NEVER have room for it. This category gets a SOLID 5 stars. TAKE-OUT: Recently we decided to order from Krystos amidst the COVID19 crisis, and I must say that they took good measures to make sure we were safe. Our fear was that, by the time we brought the food home, it may have gotten soggy. Once we heated it up in the oven for a few mins, everything tasted JUST LIKE when we are there sitting in their restaurant. In conclusion, this place is always, for as long as it exists, going to be a classic family favourite. I highly recommend everyone tries it.

Worst 'Greek' Lemon Soup ever

I can only speak to the lemon soup and the dips as that's all i ordered, but in trying those i will never return. The soup has a horrible taste and smell, nothing like the silky lemon chicken soup of other Greek restaurants. I had a quarter of the bowl and couldn't stomach the rest. Had the three dips - Taramasalata ( way too fishy tasting, that also thrown out ), the spinach one and the spicy one both okay. I got take out and waited a long time for pre made soup to be laddled out and pre made dips to be packaged up. Was excited to try but wont be returning.

Amazing service and food quality

I would recommend this restaurant a thousand times! never disappointed, from the outstanding customer service to the quality of food. Went during summerlicious and had the watermelon feta salad, so fresh, so good I drank the dressing! We were a party of 7 and 3 unique dietary restrictions and they went above and beyond to meet our needs! Continue success!

Yes it's modern and clean but I found it expensive with slow take-away service when I decided that their Diner style ambience wasn't what I was looking for. Probably great for kids.

Wonderful find!

Last May we stopped here with our daughter and granddaughter since I craved Greek Food and it was just down the street from the gymnastics school which our granddaughter attends. All 4 of us gave the restaurant FIVE STARS and are thrilled to have found it. We are returning to Toronto in early November and have Krystos at the top of our list to revisit. Our food choices were diverse, but no one was disappointed from our soups to the baklava! I had promised the server to write a review - HE WAS AMAZING - but it appears that my intentions didn't produce results until now.
