My friend and I were craving some lamb souvlaki and a nice salad. Instead of researching a new restaurant we went to Christinas on the Danforth. After our experience, I remembered why I hadn't gone there in years! Waiter was the older gentleman that has...been there forever. Seemed charming at first, but understood it to be more of a slime ball at the end. We told him UPFRONT, we were doing a gluten-free and dairy free meal, meaning no bread, feta or tzatiki. We simply wanted the lamb and salad. First came out the bread, then the salad with feta. We again told him remember so feta and no bread. He took it back. He kept saying " I will take care of you, leave it to me". He wouldn't even let me choose my own wine and brought out a glass of red. Then the lamb came out with rice and potatoes, I had asked no rice and extra coleslaw. Also the coleslaw was LESS THAN 1 FORKFUL. I said nothing. Then the lamb was raw and chewy and full of fat! We did say something about that so he took it back to grill a little more. It was better but fat was fat. Then we just asked for the bill. Well that was interesting! We were paying by visa but when he handed us the terminal, HE HAD AUTOMATICALLY SELECTED 20% TIP!!!! I let it go because he was lurking at the table telling us about his divorce and distracting us. But my friend noticed and downsized the tip! Needless to say, this will be the LAST TIME!More

Mezes for four- Shrimp, dolmates were best I've ever tasted, so fresh. Eggplant zucchini stack wonderful. spanakopita very good. Then two of us shared a beetroot salad and baklava. Both very very fresh and beautifully presented. Interesting flavours, just a little twist on things. Baclava...just right, just sweet enough and very flakey pastry. Service was wonderful and very attentive. Will go back for sure next time in Toronto.More

Lovely patio experience last weekend. Super lamb/beef Moussaka, moist, layered beautifully, hearty, and delicious! Three-dip appetizer with grilled pita was a yummy starter, as was the grilled squid meal ordered by my friend. A chilled ouzo ( on the rocks) aperitif warms you up if...chilly!More

Some friends and I came here for a weekday dinner about a month ago and the food and service were just out of this world. Both of my friends were gluten intolerant and our server had some awesome suggestions and even for me, who can...eat anything, they were very accommodating in switching out the rice for their yummy lemon roasted potatoes. I highly recommend their lamb shank - tender and flavourful plus huge portions. I was so impressed that a few weeks later when another friend and I were strolling along the Danforth looking for a nice place with a patio for dinner on a Saturday night I suggested Christina's. To my delight the same server was working that night and to my absolute astonishment he recognized me and although we did not have reservations and it was a very busy Saturday night he found us a table within minutes on the patio and again the food and service was absolutely outstanding. Of course I had the lamb shank again while my friend had the chicken souvlaki which she loved. I will definitely be back again and highly recommend as one of the best Greek restaurants in Toronto.More

Been to Christina’s 2 years ago loved it and came back last October 2020 during Pandemic. But this time during a fully open economy I expected the same if not better. My husband a retired Chef ordered our usual chicken sovlski and pork souvlaki dinner....to our surprise the Presentation was very poor and the food was less &!not filled c there was hardly rice and potatoes on the plate, very dry. the pork souvlaki was bloody and the Greek salad ain’t a Greek salad anymore. The waiter was so dry and seemed unhappy working. My husband asked him to take the pork sovlski back it was bloody & unsanitary, he took it back without apologizing, came back in 2 minutes and stated that the fat on the pork is bloody and that’s ok. Insult to our intelligence, he didn’t even offer another plate so he can have his dinner. my husband made it clear that pork and chicken must be fully cooked for health reasons. The presentation of the plates were like we were in a poor communist country and the price was double considering the quality, quantity and presentation was poor, looked like crap 💩 disgusting and unsanitary. We asked if the management has been changed and in reply we were told nope, the same owners past 7 years. I told the waiter we drove 4 hours to enjoy authentic Greek food and salad, you guys are no different than a restaurant in rundown town we were appalled at the food and service. Will never go back, very disappointed ☹️ !More

I have been here a lot over the years and just love the food. The staff is so friendly and and they seem appreciative of the business during this challenging time. Hope they open a satellite restaurant in Muskoka!!!

I came with my family to visit this restaurant and the food was so delicious and the energy of the store was delightful. The quality of the food was excellent and not expensive. The service was incredible and we were amazed by the owners real Greek...hospitality. This place highly recommended for couples, families, and even going solo. Five starts aren’t enough!More

Went there for an early Saturday dinner...had the seafood special for two, would have fed three. Good atmosphere, attentive waiters...very authentic. I would know...my wife is Greek and we go there lots for weekend lunch while strolling the Danforth in Greek town.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a Greek dinner at Christina’s on The Danforth! Their hummus was extra earthy, I believe thanks to a hint of coriander??? The Greek salad looked great but I could barely taste the dressing unfortunately. I had Moussaka for...the first time (meat, not vegetarian) and it was delicious!!! Super tender and tasty, I loved it. Out server was absolutely fantastic and said we could stay for hours as he left the restaurant after his shift ended. Sadly the restaurant did not agree and turned off the music an hour early before closing time. We were the last ones in the restaurant and felt that we should leave which is unfortunate because I would have liked to have stayed longer. As a result I can only give my experience 3/5. I could forgive the lack of flavour in the salad dressing but feeling kicked out an hour early is kind of unforgivable. We even turned around to say good night and there was no one there. ~ Suzie The FoodieMore

Food is good and portions are huge. I like to start with the mezzes and then I take the lamb souvlaki. It's always cooked to perfection. Staff is friendly. Place can get loud.
