Do not waste your money going here. Staff totally forgot to serve one course at my event and had no idea until I told them after. Garbage under sofas in side alcoves - shows how much cleanliness is valued.

We arrived for the 1pm sitting but none of the food was fresh and it all looked like it had been picked over. Baked salmon was dry and unappealing. Crab legs were served without having been prepared and without proper utensils, so messy and impossible to eat. There were a few oysters but people were fighting to get to them.... More

Did my research in depth this year for our Christmas Dinner. Could not get into the Old Mill and at one point had 3 reservations for Christmas Dinner. I thought I was making the best choice having had Afternoon Tea at the Windsor Arms several time....expensive but lovely ambiance and very good food and the Windsor Arms impeccable service, high... My husband booked this for our anniversary. I was initially excited and happy. In the 80's, this was THE place to go. This restaurant does not know it's identity. Is it classic? Is it happening? I sit just poor food in an unusual atmosphere with horrible music? We were lead into the second part of the restaurant and it looked... More

We had a disappointing Mother's Day Brunch. The price was enhanced as we were told; however, no Morning Glories were included. Despite a phone call with the Food & Beverage manager and and unanswered email, we have had no response which is an unacceptable way of doing business. We do not recommend the Windsor Arms brunch. $75 for food only... More

We had a rather disappointing brunch today at the Windsor Arms. My husband had made a reservation for a 10:30 a.m. time slot, since we had other firm commitments early in the afternoon. The hotel happily took his reservation, and even called to confirm it a day before. We arrived punctually at 10:30. When we arrived, we were told the... More

I booked Sunday brunch this morning - something we like to do from time to time. The brunch is delicious albeit costly at $65.00 per person. Our reservation was for 10:30 am which is the hour they open. Today they kept us waiting just over 20 minutes as there was some delay in the kitchen or in the buffet area.... More

We love the Windsor Arms. We have stayed at the property, we love the location and we have dined there from time to time. I have even experienced the Tea Room, which is delightful. This was our first experience with their Mother's Day Brunch, which I believe is their busiest day of the year. The brunch is held in the... More

Unlike the previous reviewer, we had a great experience last Sunday, which happened to be Easter Sunday. We went for brunch to celebrate my mom's 87th birthday. We were seated immediately, service was attentive, even though the restaurant was packed. The buffet included Beef Wellington, which we love but haven't seen anywhere else on the menu in a long time.... More

I went with two friends for brunch to celebrate a Birthday. This used to be an iconic Hotel with a superb restaurant which was on this Sunday half empty. The reason for this became patently obvious. The food was well below par and definitely not worth partaking. The selection for brunch included a standing rib that was inedible. There were... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
