Very pretty room and an interesting menu. Tried the ricotta gnocchi with a lemon butter sauce and pecorino shavings. Very flavorful and light but the pecorino was too chunky. Wouldn't have wanted grated cheese, but more and thinner shavings would have significantly improved the dish....More

This beautiful restaurant, hidden up in Hart House on U of T campus, is a reliable place for lunch. Can get a bit loud, and often requires an RSVP in advance. (There is a private dining room, if needed.) The menu is small, but well-crafted,...More

A lovely restaurant overlooking the Hart House quadrangle/Great Hall on the University of Toronto campus. Lovely settings matched by superb food, a perfect place to have lunch when visiting the University.

Good food, soups and salads. Pasta a little insipid. Pleasant atmosphere. The building looks like an Oxford College.

I happened upon this restaurant by accident while waiting for the launch of Mosaïqueproject.com in The Music Room and lucky me. Everything was outstanding including the classic refined decor, experienced passionate staff, and outstanding eatables. Definitely a place to return to on future trips to...More

The Gallery Grill is a great place to meet friends, because the noise level is low — no music! — and the ambience is agreeable. I had the cassoulet and found it to be tasty but visually very boring. All that brown definitely needed something...More

Had a lovely lunch with my aunt, for Winterlicious. The ambience is lively, but austere. Very old, as expected with UofT, as it's situated right in Hart House. A lot of students work here, which I think is superb. The food was delicious, however, the...More
