This restaurant is located on Yonge St. and has been in this location for many years. The service is friendly and attentive, but the food is unimaginaitve. The bruscetta was served chilled...unpleasant. The mussels were adequate and plentiful. As for the main courses, just about...everyone in our party had the same reaction....meh. The prices were reasonable, but not reason enough to return.More

From salads to main courses there is nothing that rises above mediocre. A couple of people who ordered the seafood pasta said the seafood was tough and overcooked and the pasta undercooked. Veal was tasty albeit a small portion. The server was attentive, but the...food here does not merit a return visit.More

The food and service were great. The platter for two was yummy! The restaurant had a charming atmosphere. I was surprised that there was an upstairs. Two thumbs up.

I am not one to give poor reviews, but last night, my husband and I arrived with friends who had made a reservation. We were sat down by a server, and another server came over and said "you Peter?" in a harsh voice. We were...beginning to think that he was introducing himself, but again he asked, and then said "who sat you!". We pointed to another server. He then told us in a harsh way that this was not our table, and again asked who sat us, despite the fact that we had a reservation. This left us very perplexed and somewhat put off. The server left and another one came to take our order. We looked at each other and asked who the man was who spoke to us so harshly and the server told us it was the owner, who then came back and told us in a very rude way that we would have to change tables. We got up and left. No apology was given. We will never dine there again.More

Excellent food, great atmosphere and the way a neighbourhood Italian restaurant should be. Friendly staff, great menu and the specials are definitely worth considering.

We asked for some minor adjustments to the menu items based on the dietary requirements of my 90 year old mother, my teenage children and type-1 diabetic wife. The owner’s response was: you want to change my entire menu! Well, not exactly. Replacing a pasta...side dish with extra vegetables did not seem like an extreme request since the restaurant was half empty. The kitchen served the food without the changes we asked for even though the owner seemed to have reluctantly agreed when he was at our table. The food was lovely however the lack of flexibility and harsh response put us off and we won’t be back.More

I had such an amazing time with my coworkers at Gamberonis. They were able to accommodate a large group. The food was fantastic, definitely one of the best Italian spots in the city. The seafood is fresh and cooked right! The appetizers are all amazing,...and the fresh pasta is covered in some of the freshest flavourful sauces that I guarantee you will soak up with the bread the give you. They have an excellent and affordable wine selection! The patio, though small is a hidden gem.More

My family has been coming to this place for 30 years, and it has remained excellent authentic Italian. While traveling in Italy, we only found one restaurant better than Gamberoni. They do pasta and fish best, so I recommend getting one of those.

The service is just not good. The 1st waiter has no personality and seems like you're bothering him if you ask a question. Not to mention he doesn't listen. I ordered seafood pasta. He brought penne with veggies. Then he tries to tell me that's...what i ordered. I just kept it but he made no attempt to fix it and told the other waiter very loudly that's what I ordered. The wine list: If you want by the glass you have 2 options red or white. He was getting frustrated when we asked what they were. Then we got a waiter who wouldn't stop pushing dessert and coffee. BTW this coffee was really bad. So bitter. The good news is that the food is actually good but the service was so bad I would not go back.More

Dinner with two friends. Veal scaloppini. Stuffed calamari. Shrimp rigatoni. All were excellent. Perfect level of service.
