A restaurant in the financial district that serves fine food in an elegant setting. The food was very tasty --- we had the grilled calamari (a bit underdone but better than overdone); the lamb burger (very good) and the lamb shank and pasta (also good). The house greens salad was very colorful (a great presentation). The service was also very... More

We made reservations early for dinner prior to a Leaf game as a surprise for a visiting guest. The staff were attentive and polite and seated us with smiles. The food was very good and to the liking by everyone in attendance.

Lives up to the Oliver & Bonacini expectation, I had the bison lasagna which was great! It wasn't the first time I had been but it was a different menu, very seasonal which is lovely to keep trying new things! Able to accommodate a large group of us as well, earlier in the year I made a reservation quite late... More

Was visiting in TO for 2 days hoping to have some great TO food. Sadly had two misses from places highly recommended but Jump did not disappoint. Great food, nicely presented and good service. In our party one had prawn fettuccini and the other fried chicken. Both yummy. The cheddar biscuit with the fried chicken was to die for. We'll... More

Good food and very good service. I found the menu is limited in offerings - a few fish and meat entrees including a burger with lots of pasta dishes and a daily special . We decided on the burger which did not disappoint. A hearty jumbo burger with a huge portion of fries for $25.‎ Delicious sauce for burger bun... More

The decor is intimate with subdued lighting. A lot of people from the financial district frequent this restaurant as it is on Wellington West near Yonge. Having said that, a lot of older people were dining in Jump the night I was there. Had the gnocchi for dinner and it tasted ok but the texture was mushy because they were... More

Nice settings and professional service. I enjoyed the "Taste of Iceland" set menu, prepared by a visiting Icelandic chef. It was excellent and I can only assume that the quality of the food there is generally as high.

I've been to Jump dozens of times over the years and I tend to have the same dishes, and that's a great thing. However, I hadn't been for awhile. Had the mushroom soup and grilled calamari as usual. Both are always excellent and I highly recommend them! Good service as expected at Jump.

We went to Jump for dinner. The Duck breast in Gumbo is chewy and salty and the Gumbo is bland. Gnocchi is soggy. Weren't it for the good service and the super nice floor manager who took the Gumbo off the tab, I would seriously consider not going back. However, the service made it up for the disappointing food and... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
