This restaurant has some of the best Thai food in Toronto and the ambiance is beautiful too! I've been here a few times and every time the food and service has been great - whether in a group of 2 or 8. My favourite dish is the red curry, it comes in it's own pot over a candle holder to... More

I enjoyed the small but nicely done lunch buffet. The selections were not many but the quality was good. The place has lots of paneling, statuary and a fountain and easy on the eyes. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Would go back.

Went here with my sister and a friend based on the friend's recommendation. A great choice. Decor is very nice. Service was very good. Food was fantastic. We shared the tiger shrimp and calamari appetizers. I had the Two Friends which was a very tasty and spicy chicken and beef dish. The others had cashew chicken and the basil scallops.... More

The service was excellent. The decor was nice. We have looked forward to eating here for quite some time. We have tried to make it for summerlicious/winterlicious but never have. Since we were in town, we decided to have dinner here. The food was pricey (as expected) but the taste was disappointing. The mussels were fresh but had no flavour.... More

Had not been to this restaurant for some years. Went for linch today and, while the service was fine, the food was a big disappointment. Boring.... Will not rush back.

Three of us ate at Bangkok Garden for New Years Eve. They had a fixed price 3 course menu with many options to choose from, for only $35 Cdn per person. They even allowed small changes to the menu based on food preferences. Unlike many set menus, the portions were of a decent size as well. Food was delicious -... More

Our dinner at this restaurant was part of our anniversary celebration. We ordered one of the dinners for two people, to have a chance to sample several different dishes. The authenticity of the food is great, presentation on the plates are very nice, flavours are amazing. Not to spicy and there is a great variety of dishes to choose from.... More

Had the pad Thai, it was delicious, cashew chicken was a little bland, I'm used to a little more spice. Decor of the restaurant was really nice with water fountains in the restaurant. We went with another couple and service was a little slow, but it was good because we were not rushed to finish our meal.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
