You know when you enter a restaurant and your salivary glands start watering? That's the effect entering 309 Dhaba had on me. I only hoped it lived up to how it pricked my sense of smell, and it did. The Tandoori Tiger Prawns, there are two of them in the appetizer, were grilled perfectly and presented with elegance. The Naan... More

After reading mixed and mainly negative reviews, we went to Dhaba as nothing was open that night. Food was great, hospitality was amazing!

Tasty Food. Friendly staff . On my first visit the server wasn't keeping up ,he was mixing food orders for other tables and almost forgot about our table .I was getting frustrated but then the food came and it was so delicious that I forgot about the slow service. On my second visit, great delicious food and amazing customer service.

Great food and wine selection, attentive service and generous portions. The prawns were so flavourful, I couldn't get enough of the sauce and just about rolled out of there!

Terrible experience. Waited 5 minutes to be given a menu and a further 10 to get a staff member to talk to us. After waiting nearly an hour for food I was given a dish with a hair in it. It was replaced with a new dish but we waited a further 5 mins for rice to arrive. We also... More

We went there with our two kids just before catching a Mirvish show. The lunch buffet had a lot of variety but the food was not that good. The butter chicken, which is the only Indian dish my kids eat, was cold. My 10 year old said it was too cold to eat, and it was! The naan bread was... More

After having not so good experience at Aroma Indian on the lights and tucked in the corner of this vibrant restaurant strip. We decided to check this one and believe me it did not disappoint us at all. We were bit hesitant in the beginning then the Prawns starters blew us away and gave us more energy and confidence to... Just went here for lunch after taking a stroll trying to find a place that piqued my interest. Decided that an Indian buffet would provide some choices at a reasonable price point. First impression upon being seated was not positive - they came to propose a mango lassi, which would normally be an acceptable offer, but the glass they put... More

Don't be put off by the entrance to this place, it's just a door on the street leading to the restaurant upstairs. The food and the service were both very good, and reasonably priced.

Don't bother with Just-Eat or anything. These guys will do it directly, and they're very kind and accommodating. Also, yea, the food is killer. Best butter chicken out there.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
