The upper patio is wonderful for a couple, great ambiance. The food was very good. We had bruschetta, tortellini and fettuccine. All were very good. House wine was very reasonably priced. Service was good. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a couple wanting a...romantic night.More

Small and cozy, very busy until 7:30 pm. The food is fresh and well prepared, and lots of it. The owner comes out and makes sure everything is as it should be.

Two of us went fo dinner and were warmly greeted by staff. Apart from the regular menu there were many specials. We chose to share an eggplant and mozzarella wrap baked. Delicious. Also shared a Tomato Mozzarella and Basil salad which was different but delicious....For Main course we shared a Veal Chop with Pasta and Tomato Sauce. The Pasta which I requested to be Gluten free was absolutely wonderful and authentic. The Veal Chop was a little disappointing as it was very fatty and not tenderMore

Just came home from our dinner at Donatello tonight. I think this was my third time there in the last 18 month. Every time, service and food was amazing. The gnocchi with rose sauce is to die for. We will be back for sure.

A classic Italian restaurant with an absolutely amazing wine list and menu. Service as fantastic yet again and the salad special is one of the best I have ever had. Three different specials available along with a great menu. There is definitely something for everyone....We had the rack of lamb which was quite nice. Available with either pasta or vegetables. Will make sure we go again the next time we are in Toronto.More

We ate here on our first night in Toronto as it was near the hotel. Couldn't grumble about the food and it was reasonably priced. Service good.

Because of the unexpectedly inclement weather in Toronto on November 11, our business dinner party became small enough that we did not rate the private dining room that we had signed up for. We were at the round table at the back of the restaurant....Unfortunately, the long table about 2 meters from us was populated by a party of 8 with one patron who was yelling his stories and hilarity at the top of his lungs. The management did not intervene at all and gave the impression that the yeller was some kind of valued customer. However, that behaviour devalued the dining experience for us. Service was spotty. The "head waiter" never bothered to identify himself to me, as the person who made the reservation and paid the bill. The food was tasty with generous portions. If you want a LOUD environment on a Monday night, Donatello may well be the perfect place for you.More

My partner and I went here for dinner with high expectations. The meal was mediocre at best. Our appetizer was the antipasto for 2. Very small portion and so so quality. I did enjoy the gnocchi which was flavorful but his veal marsala fell short...with a thin sauce and a petite portion size. Did not at all feel authentic.More
