We visited Fune after deciding the queue for our first choice for the evening was too long. The restaurant it self is a very nice space but unfortunately neither the service nor the food was to the same standard. Service was very slow, despite us being only one of about five tables occupied when we arrived. The service staff didn't... More

The draw are the sushi boats moving by you in a moat, but the sushi itself, ambiance and overall experience is quality. You can just grab the plates as they go by, or order off the menu....or both. Be careful...some of The plate colors have different prices. I had about six different plates off the boat, and ordered 3 more... More

Went for lunch and definitely recommend this place for fresh and delicious sushi. Large menu for lunch - lots of variety - noodle bowls, plates and of course sushi

The decor and layout is quite nice but the food & service is uneven especially for the price. Seemed very popular with the locals since the place was pretty packed when we got there for dinner. Sushi rolls were good but I've had better in other cities. Nothing outstanding. Service is just ok. I don 'thin this is the best... More

Just arrived in Toronto a couple of hours earlier and decided to go to a Japanese restaurant for dinner. This one was near my hotel and I wasn't disappointed. Service was efficient and friendly and the meal was delicious. Didn't go for the rotating sushi bar, but the table service. A warm and tasty miso soup and fresh, crisp salad... More

We were there for early dinner. That was a quiet night. We went there because we wanted to try the sashimi conveyor. Due to the few customers, some of the raw food (sashimi) was on the conveyor for more than 30 minutes and no one wanted it. If in Japanese, those will be thrown away. 30 minutes away from the... Although we frequently go for quantity over quality at all you can eat sushi joints, we come here whenever we are in the mood for a treat. The sushi bar with boats is quite unique, but service at the tables is good as well.

Walked in for lunch. Service was fast, despite the restaurant becoming very busy after 12:30. Sushi was very good, had a mix of rolls and sashimi. Noisy but large and able to accommodate the lunchtime rush. Clean, nice decor.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
