Eclectic decor, hip crowd. Limited menu (one sided piece of photocopied paper in a plastic sleeve; not a lot of selection). NO PIZZA! Oysters, calamari apps good. Garlic shrimp linguine pasta dish also good. Had the 10 oz. steak ($22.95), does not come with sides. Could have eaten two of them. All in all a nice Italian restaurant but this... More

I came here on a Saturday night, last minute with 5 friends for a birthday dinner. When we arrived, we requested a table and were advised it should only be 15-20 mins. Close to I would say 40 mins later, we were finally seated. Prior to that, the hostess suggested that we grab a drink at the bar. Two of... More

Food is exceptional! Have eaten over 15 items on the menu (and visited over 10 times) at this point and have NEVER been disappointed. If you are really hungry and it is a special occasion opt for the chefs choice menu which can be 3 or 4 courses and will blow your mind. Service- awesome! Wine selection- great. Atmosphere- warm,... The sign out front is a big three dimensional nose, not a traditional word / name sign. It's very popular with people in Leslieville and even the Beaches. It's not expensive, a cool give, servers are friendly and helpful, and menu varied enough to try different items on several visits. Beets salad was good, my partner loved the fish which... More

Did not like the rules around payment. No debit, no separate cheques...and an ATM that the resto clearly owns at $2.50 a withdrawal. The food is average IMHO, and the rules around payment and reservations is a big turn off. But, I guess if you have regular customers that love your restaurant, it doesn't matter if new customers aren't pleased.... More

This is my third time around now. Would come back here more often but just live too far away for regular visits. This is a must place in the east end. Lots of fun, less noisy now though after their expansion next door. The food is still first class as always. Try the stuffed olives starter if they have it... More

I am visiting Toronto for three days and this is the best restaurant I had in town! I had the beef carpaccio as my appetizer and seared scallop with bacon risotto as the main, the quality of the beef is really good and the flavor of risotto is amazing! I think it's the best risotto I have ever had! It... More

Amazing amazing delicious food for cheap! I have been to many fine dining restaurants but the flavour is nowhere near. Cool funky atmosphere. Must try the meatball and the Calamari and shrimp (fried) delicious! Every single appetizer on the menu is delicious and the mains are amazing too. But I usually end up ordering almost all the appetizers and have... More

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
