We were at Hemmingway recently on a Saturday night. It was very busy and our table was on the rooftop patio. I had the lamb burger with fries which was delicious!! My husband had the seafood pasta which also was delicious!! Our service was very...good and everyone wore masks when not at their tables. The only disappointment was that it was a chilly windy night and there was little heat. It didn't affect the food but the heaters are on timers and only on for a very short time. So it was uncomfortable when the wind blew in. But I would recommend this restaurant and go back.More

I gave a 2 because of service alone. The location, food and general atmosphere are all good. This was my 3rd time at restaurant and although previous nights our wait staff were busy. We never felt or were treated like an inconvenience. When we would...request water or another glass of wine it just showed up. However not last night. The food was once again very tasty. But Tyler made the night a chore or at least appear as one for him. I did mention it to the hostess and they were wonderful. Everyone prior to this were exceptional and welcoming, very professional NOT this person he was curt and did not seem interested I suggest he seek another line of work where he maybe more satisfied or one that accepts his lack lustre personality. I am sure his employer would not appreciate his mood especially when restaurants are struggling to survive and people are willing to come out and support local business on an outdoor patio in the evening in OctoberMore

Horrific experience, rattled to the core. Was told by staff and management that my disability does not matter there policy is above the law and humiliated me, i repeatedly explained that the refusal of service was unlawful, and that they had to accommodate me, i...spoke to staff and managers who all seemed to believe policy is law. Unfortunately, this is not the case i will be suing them for these practices for money and fines so that they wake up and talk to a lawyer before they attempt to make up law. Steer clear of this placeMore

This Yorkville restaurant has a good rooftop outdoor patio that I have eaten in twice this summer and enjoyed. COVID protocols also adhered to both times. The prices are reasonable, the food quality was good and the portions sizes were better than expected. We had...the fish and chips and the daily special which was trout. A good choice all around. This restaurant was a "HIT" for me and I would recommend it, as the service and the atmosphere were also good.More

Food was good, but we weren’t greeted by the most welcoming staff, which is quite disappointing and off putting. Don’t think we’ll be visiting again, there are lots of other places with equally good food and better service

We were very disappointed in the service. We had a server who was very slow and rarely checked on us. Our food came out wrong and because our server never came back we didn't have the chance to have this remedied. We could see him...sitting in a booth eating his own meal instead of tending to his tables. The food was nothing special, but would have been much better if it had come out how we'd ordered it.... It's too bad because it's a cool location and venue. Better staff would definitely have improved our experience.More

Ate here twice as it was very handy for our Yorkville hotel. Good atmosphere up on the heated covered terrace .

We stopped in for lunch and were surprised to see they also had a brunch menu available so lots of choice -- the regular menu is usual pub food although there were some daily specials as well. We sat near the bar and had great...service from the barkeep/wait person who was both personable and very attentive. The hamburger was very good and the fries tasty with a slight seasoning coating. Interestingly there is also a heated rooftop patio if one is looking for al fresco in the winter months.More

A group of friends and I visited this restaurant on a Sunday morning. It was not busy, but the service was very slow. The coffee was cold, just about every order was incorrect, or not cooked properly (soft eggs were all hard, grilled cheese with...bacon had the bacon delivered "on the side" 10 minutes after the food.) The condiments had to be requested, again minutes after the food was delivered and already getting cold by the time they were delivered. When we requested compensation for the terrible service we were offered free alcohol. Most of us were driving, so that was not an option. The bills arrived and many were incorrect, a person that paid and left was accused of not paying... This was not an enjoyable meal at all.More

Hemingway's would have you believe that it is a traditional restaurant. However, the music and visual things tell you that it is a hip pub restaurant trying to ignore it's past. I had the lamb shank which is served with root vegetables and mash. The...lamb shank was quite good but was a bit smaller than that which I had in London pubs. The veggies were unidentifiable and were orange sticks that were crispy. The mash was average. This is a decent restaurant but is not outstanding or distinctive.More

Hi - absolutely. It's more of a grown up place but I took my daughter there when she was small and have seen kids around.
