I have been here several place and I always enjoyed my meal very much. The counter service is always very friendly. The homade empanadas are excellent (I don't recommend the vegetarien because it lacks a bit of flavor) and I can't stop eating the salsa sauce coming with it. I always order the salad on the side which is very... More

I've only been here once for a chicken empenada when I was starving but it was bad enough that I probably wouldn't try again. Didn't like the flavor and all I could smell on me for the rest of the day was onions. Also, gave two for atmosphere because it was so hot inside.

Jumbo Empanadas is justifiably known for their terrific empanadas, but don't forget their corn pies - just the right amount of EVERYTHING (and I mean everything - beef, chicken, hard boiled egg, olives, raisins, and of course, corn). But the best thing is that you can buy their empanadas and corn pies frozen and heat them at home - fresh... More

I love this place! You'll find this quant shop in the middle of busy Kensington Market. Be sure to ask for lots of salsa!

We just returned from a weekend in Toronto. After roaming through chinatown, we stopped to see what the Kensington Market was all about......for me it was the empanadas! Jumbo Empanandasis a tiny chilean run restaurant. i don't think it holds more than 14-15 people! (That means crowded and little atmosphere.) But I came for the deliscious empanadas. We shared one... I love Jumbo Empanadas. Beautiful crust, great fillings, but don't forget the salsa -- the spicing is on the mild side. In good weather, get your empanada to go, and sit in the park down the street.
