I have always raved to my friends how Mildred's Temple Kitchen has the best food I've ever had in my life. Alas 2020 has changed a lot including these sentiments unfortunately. Burger and pancake was still FAB but the Burger was CRYING out for Mildred's...old garlic aioli which apparently they don't do anymore(?!) Don't get the pancake unless you're able to dine in. Mildred has changed her scotch bonnet hot sauce too unfortunately to incorporate more sugar/stickiness and less brightness. What was an absolute atrocity and truly truly devastating to me was the huevos Monty. Mildred has apparently taken cumin out of the recipe and the black beans were still uncooked/crunchy (this is a serious and crucial mistake from any chef for what I thought was a rather fine dining restaurant). But CUMIN people!!! Cumin is one of the spices that makes Mexican food Mexican. Without the cumin the huevos Monty becomes quite literally inedible. I had to go to the store to buy cumin in order to finish the dish. Almost just as bad as a travesty is the removal of the oxtale gravy and gnocchi poutine from the menu. The best poutine you will ever have in your life no longer exists. The old adage comes to mind: if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!!! P.S. It’s been a while since I been here so I decided to bring my bf here to try their brunch. Their brunch is offered Weds - Sun currently and even with covid it is walk in only. When I came here “pre-covid” in summer weekends,...wait time is usually 60mins minimum, we got lucky this time probably because it was 2pm on a random Wednesday and didn’t have to wait for patio seating. The hostess was kind enough to ask if we are allergic to bees or wasps and pre-warn us that they will come over especially if we order pancakes. She gave us option of dine in but would be 20 mins wait time so we chose patio. I appreciated her warning as my last review at another brunch spot, bees were a big issue :/ The brunch menu I think is reduced most likely due to covid. We each got a croissant (salmon/avocado) and the side option was salad or potatoes or add extra charge for 50/50. Lastly we asked for 1 side of blueberry pancake at the end of our meal to share and that was amazing!! We finished it literally within 2 mins but it was just perfect.More

We enjoyed our dinner here and took advantage of the Winterlicious. The staff was prompt, friendly and courteous. The food was promptly delivered, nicely presented and delicious. The only problem we had was the fish, which was over cooked a little bit. The cocktails were...beautifully presented, especially the Old-fashion on the menu. We had a good time and please note that you can access via public transit or paid parking in the middle of the Liberty Village.More
