The atmosphere is elegant/cozy and the food outstanding. We had the jumbo shrimp cocktail; and the surf and turf fillet mignon and lobster tail. We enjoyed the hot chocolate cake afterwards. Our server Cheryl was extremely personable, upbeat and knowledgeable. She was one of the...More

Among the very good steakhouses in Toronto, Mortons stands out for its fine meat, excellent friendly service and ambiance. At a recent dinner, the Caesar and Iceberg salads were crispy with just the right amount of dressing. Steak Diane’s, ( a filet) and the center...More

Always perfectly done steak (get the porterhouse for the best of both worlds) is perfectly accompanied by a mouth watering selection of appetizers and sides. Service is always impeccable. Save room for the molten chocolate cake for dessert.

Morton's in Toronto was my 3rd Morton's. Previously I had been to Morton's in San Antonio and Manhattan. Once again I wasn't disappointed. The food of course was great, but the best part of the evening was the dedicated attention we received by our server....More

We were a group of ten and aside from our service being a little slow, there were no complaints at all. Our waiter was very good indeed, handling a variety of allergic issues in our group. My husband indulged in a bone in ribeye -...More

Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its
most stylish high-rise residences and heritage
buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden
arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel
from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of
the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools,
jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill
Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and

I had the same issue once, but re-read the agreement which states: "Membership card does not need to be presented to earn points or redeem rewards. In lieu of the membership card, members may provide the phone number identified in their account registration to earn points at the time of purchase. If Rewards are being redeemed, member will also be required to show valid ID. Only the member to whom the membership card is issued may earn points or redeem Rewards. The member must be paying for the food and beverage to earn points. Membership cards are issued to individuals only, not businesses or other entities or groups. Club points are not redeemable for cash and are non-transferable." Most recently, it happened at a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant (Joe's Stone Crab) that has a similar program. The manager explained that anyone could amass tons of rewards just by telling friends to 'use their card'. Their intent is to get people to sign up themselves, not load up individual cards. And they further explained it's for my protection too since anyone that knows my phone number could say "look up my rewards" and I'd be out that money. Someone was just recently fired from the location I visited because of this policy, so it shows how serious all these companies are (not just Landry's). Apparently the server inadvertently added all the rewards to the check, even though the diners paid by 'credit card roulette'. This is where the server picks a card from under a napkin to see who gets to pay the bill. It's like any user agreement, there are rules. Don't make a server or manager lose their livelihood just because you don't want to abide by them.

Companies make policies and their customers must comply or go elsewhere. Morton’s is a 5 minute walk from where I live. Food and service are good. When I am paying I will go to Morton’s. I would never cause the firing of an... More
