Perfect outdoor patio with an awning to protect customers from the elements but completely open on the sides.
Staff is always friendly and efficient and the food is consistently good. We have probably tried most things on the menu- my favourites are the 4 cheese pizza with balsamic dipping sauce and the tribal salad.
But this time I ordered the fish tacos which were delicious and my husband had the veggie wrap and Caesar salad which he loved. He also had the cheese cake but I found it a little dry. Finally the decaffinated coffee was super flavorful.

Safari is a fun place for families, the kids can play pool or ping pong upstairs while parents sit on main floor or everyone can eat upstairs, same menu on both floors. Food is very good, better than bar food but not pretentious. We like this place!

We had the best time here! Our waitress Sydney was excellent! She really engaged with us and it was so fun! The food was soooo good. I had the burger and it did not disappoint!! Sydney recommended it and I am so happy I went with her suggestion. We also enjoyed a bottle of the rose! This place is a definite must and if we are ever back in Toronto again it will be a place I will eat at again! I was celebrating my 40th with my friends and we all had a great time! What a unexpected gem. Thanks for an awesome birthday dinner!

This restaurant does have a wonderful patio in the summer season. The staff are friendly and accommodating but its a shame that the owner of the restaurant bullies & berates customers. He calls customers that make a legitimate complaint ignorant and disrespects them. He even calls them liars and say they never ate there even though we clearly have the charge on our credit card. There are other restaurants
in the area that know how to treat a customer and they want them to return. Beware if you dine at this place.

We enjoyed a nice evening on the patio. Good food, cold drinks, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. Would definitely come back. Great place to get together with friends. Not formal.

I am a down to earth pub and restaurant patron. I was very happy to get a chance to visit this establishment, to choose from the selection of drinks, and to have a very good pizza. Friendly and accommodating staff, and a patio available.

Safari is a staple in North Toronto, very family friendly, staff are super nice, food is always good and I like that they have 2 floors, something for everyone. Highly recommended

Safari is our go to when with family, food is creative and high quality, prices are fair. Staff are friendly and make a point of getting to know the kids, nice touch. Seafood Pasta, Chicken Wrap, Pizza, Tribal Salad, Fish Wrap, Steaks, all delicious, nice selection of beers on tap and wines by the glass. Kids love to play pool and table tennis upstairs, main floor is a cozy restaurant, big busy patio in summer months.

Very nice place, I sat at the bar and the staff were welcoming and friendly, also accommodating as the bartender asked if I had a preference on what I would like to watch on the TV and even switched from the hockey game to basketball.
Food was exceptional, I had fish, it was simply done, cooked perfectly and seasoned just right with a jalapeño/mango chutney that added a nice kick.
The dining room filled up quickly and service looked smooth and confident, you can tell a lot about a place from perched at the bar, servers here were professional, manager was engaged and all over the place, greeting at the door, running food and checking on patrons. Overall, well ran, comfortable local, look forward to returning with friends.

The food is fresh and delicious. Everyone one was helpful, but felt service was a bit slow at times. We were there on a Sat. at 6p.m. and it did get busier around 7. We had to ask another waiter to get us dessert menus. Also, I didn't know pool tables could be reserved. It would be great when booking your reservation if you are asked if you want to book a pool table. They should allow for reserving a few, not all. We were hoping to shoot some pool after dinner, but nothing was available.

I’m not sure why but we live in the neighbourhood and had not been to Safari in years, my husband suggested for lunch and I am so glad he did. Food was delicious I had their Fish Tacos, they were really good served with side of either fries or salad, I had the side salad which was fresh and tasty. My husband had their Arugala salad which he enjoyed and my dad had their Chicken Club sandwich served on a ciabatta bun he loved it. Beer choices were great and for desert we shared their Tartufo excellent, coffee was freshly ground. Will definitely be back..

Another great find in north Toronto. Check it out! Safari Bar and Grill on Avenue Road, north of Lawrence (at St. Germain Avenue). Colourful flowers adorn the outside rails of the spacious patio. Cushioned bench seating, in addition to chairs, at the back, where my party of five sat, made for a relaxed, comfortable dinning experience. At 6 p.m. and not too busy yet, we had our choice of seating - patio please!! (Tip: I was told it gets crowded around 7:30 p.m.) Our young waitress came fairly quickly to take our drink orders and again fairly quickly a busboy dropped off our red plastic iced-filled cold waters. Only one cup came with lemon so I requested more. Again the busboy showed up fairly quickly with a side plate of decently-sized lemon wedges which I immediately squeezed into my water, leaving the flatted lemon on the side plate. (Tip: never directly drop the lemon in your water cup/glass. It has been touched by human hands at some point. Squeezing the lemon provides you with it's nutrients. That's what I want....okay, and the refreshing taste!) Time to order. 2 hamburgers: one with cheese, one with bacon; 2 pizzas: one pineapple and meat, one goat cheese and basil (mine!); and: a pile of chicken wings. The burgers and wings came with fries; one order was upgraded to sweet potato fries for $2. (And, if you're following me you know I looooove sweet potato fries!! You must let me taste oh dinner companion....mmm....pretty good! ). My decent-sized Quattro pizza came with a yummy honey-balsamic dipping sauce. With a deliciously thin light crusty crust I was almost in pizza heaven. It was a tad over salted (goat cheese has a lot of salt as it is). Very filling, I couldn't even finish it and ended up taking two pieces home. My companions enjoyed their meals. But not the chicken fingers. They had had better. Everyone said the fries were very good. I have to say...if you've had button fries in Alaska, well, you know what I mean. These precious perfect potatoes can't be beat. Safaris were pretty darn good though. The bill came to over $110 with tip. My personal conclusion: being lactose intolerant, I had not one iota of pain or discomfort. To me, that is a fantastic night out and money well spent! Thank you Safari Bar and Grill in Toronto. I shall return!
