We are still left confused from our experience last night at the Tara Inn. We went for something to eat with our extended family of siblings and cousins. We were a group of 12 and my brother-in-law and niece went to use the washroom. While...we were being seated the manager (coward) sent the hostess to tell us that they couldn’t serve my brother-in-law and niece because they appeared very drunk. They said they were staggering and bumping into walls. We were all shocked since we had all been together for the last 6 hours at a memorial and knew they weren't drunk. The 2 managers came out to the patio and started being very disrespectful and calling my niece “blondie”. Then they said she vomited all over and made a huge mess in the bathroom getting it on the walls and the floor. We were all in complete shock when my niece and brother-in-law came back from the washroom looking completely fine and not drunk. My niece was shocked when they started yelling at her and telling her she had to leave and she had made a mess. They then showed her a picture of the toilet with a few pieces of something floating in it. We were appalled and disgusted that they actually went in the washroom after her to take photos and had nothing that showed any kind of big mess. It was particularly disturbing because she wasn’t sick or even drunk. We just left and it’s their loss of likely $300 or more revenue from our group. It was our first and obviously last visit to this horrible place and we are still shocked about the bizarre accusations. Even the hostess was apologizing because she knew it wasn’t true. One of the managers actually seemed drunk and was slurring her words and very confrontational when talking to us. After we left we drove a few Km’s down Kingston Rd to the Stone Cottage Pub and had a fantastic meal with great service. That’s what I would suggest everyone do - just keep on driving and forget the Tara Inn.More
