Three of us went to the Crooked Cue for drinks and to play pool. We did not eat but the drinks were fine and the service was good and attentive.

This place could be soooooo much better if they cared about the food
Excuses like ‘It’s pub fare’ do not work in this competitive restaurant environment!
Maybe change the menu a bit, get buns that are not stale, little tweaks like that would work wonders
Great place for drinks and games, just don’t order any food! Not even fries! I mean it!

We always sit at the bar and find it a wonderful experience talking with the bartender and trying new drinks, the food is pub food but very good and they have lots of pool tables if you like to go with a group of friends.
I will say that it is a lot of steps up to the pub as they are on the second floor with a roof that opens in the nice weather, they say they have a service elevator but I do not know if customers can use it.

Went to Crooked Cue for my birthday dinner - was seated immediately (plenty of empty tables), waited 25 minutes, no sign of a server so we got up and left - while leaving mentioned to the 'greeter' why we were leaving and got a nonchalant "oh sorry",,,,,much less than what one would expect
Very very disappointing - we wonder if this occurred because we are clearly senior citizens and perhaps not in a desirable demographic from a server standpoint - doubt we'll be back tho we live in the neighbourhood and have been going there for 40+ years - poor service has become a trend

Atmosphere, check. Service, check. Good music, check. Decent food, check. Food options for kids, check. Drink options, check. Pool, check. Long sharp fingernails in my food while delivering dishes to the table, DISGUSTING. Turned me off of the whole experience. It’s unhygienic. Ew.

Nasty staff.
Went there with some friends the other night. IDs were checked at door by a nice gentleman. A senior staff comes by, eyes my friends and I, then starts again checking each of our ids. She looks at my friend’s health card id, and tells her it is not a valid piece id. We try to explain that yes, a health card can be used as valid id (something we would expect an establishment to already know). A younger staff comes out and rudely interrupts our discussion to loudly (and quite unfriendly) remark that this is common practice to not accept health cards as id, and that we must have already experienced this in the past (this has never occurred to any of us before). My friend does not drive, the only other id she would have been able to bring is a passport (did they expect her to carry her passport around?).
Having worked in a restaurant before I was shocked at the staffs ability to talk to their customers in such an impertinent manner, but having now seen the reviews, it seems this is not an uncommon occurrence. Truly believe that they simply assumed a group of young adults would not tip well enough and looked for any excuse to turn our group away at the door.
Very distasteful and none of us will be coming again.

The owner of this restaurant, who opposes bike infrastructure in our city, is leading a movement to make our city unsafe for those unable to afford a car or who choose to cycle. Including my children. For this reason I recommend boycotting this place and the chain. Speak with your wallet and take your business elsewhere.

I’ve been going to The Cue regularly for the past four years. It serves good food with good service and a broad menu.
In is unique in that it has a retractable roof (not so much in the winter) and offers several top quality pools tables as a diversion.
It is the classic Upscale Pub!

Do they serve roadkill? I don't know the answer, but that might explain why they oppose safe streets. I certainly can't recommend it.

If you like drinking in same atmosphere as a youth club mixed with a pool hall then this is the place for you! Just lacking a good atmosphere and the drinks and food didn't make up for it sadly. Will not be returning

Food was bland, waitstaff was rude and slow. Atmosphere was meh. Overall not a good experience and won't be returning. You should avoid as well.

This spot is awful. Piss poor food, bad service, and the facility is overly political for a bar. Avoid at all costs for your own sake.
