Nice ambiance, but way overpriced with average food. No bread? Stale pastries. Great service. Just so insanely expensive.

Had dinner here with my spouse a few weeks ago. The food is yummy and reasonably priced. The gentleman that served us was engaging and efficient. The lovely dancer that performed was talented and did her best to include anyone who wanted to dance! The...only slight criticism I have is that when looking at website, I had the impression that there would be more of a 'show' - ie more than one dancer performing. No big deal though, we had a lovely time and will return.More

We came from out of town specifically to attend this restaurant. It was a complete surprise as my wife planned it for date night. The food was spot on, delicious favours and everything cooked to perfection. Our server was fantastic and attentive! The show was...really well done and the ladies they had performing were top notch. The owner I believe came to our table and ensured everything was to our satisfaction, which it exceeded. We will definitely be back!More

Great meal. Group of 7. We were not allowed in the main part of the restaurant unless we wanted the $75 per person menu so we stayed in the front part which isn't nearly as nice. That was disappointing and the main reason we gave...4 stars instead of 5 stars. Back was empty so there was no reason to not allow us in the nice part, especially since we left long before entertainment started. Service was great. Food was great. Mocktails for kids were good. Dessert was delicious.More

Not the greatest experience, wouldn’t recommend it. I asked for couscous with my salmon and they brought me mashed potatoes. By the time they brought me a fresh plate, my husband’s food went cold. I asked for cutlery because they took it away with my...mashed potatoes, he rolled his eyes. The food was mediocre at best. Nothing special. Definitely been to better places with better food and better service. Not worth the money.More

The food was delicious and our waiter, Tamara, was helpful and accommodating. The belly dancer was fun to watch and engaged with the audience. The one down side was when a balding man (owner? manager) came into our part of the tent and greeted the...other two couples in our area. He was gracious and chatty with them, asking about their experience. It was disheartening and disappointing that he completely ignored my spouse and I, even though he had to walk past us to get from one couple to the other. It put a damper on our experience and ensured that when we will return to Sultan’s tent on our next trip to Toronto. We will not spend money where we aren’t appreciated.More

We went there not so much for the food but for the entertainment. My friend had not seen belly dancing and wanted to see that while having a three-course-meal. So, she got it and really enjoyed too. The food was good, and there was a...lot of it. Service was excellent. Belly dancer was sexy and friendly and entertained one from each table. What was not so good? Respecting our reservations. We had made reservations well ahead of time for the 7 p.m. show at the Sultan’s tent. But someone had sent us messages saying we had reserved to eat a la carte in the cafe area rather than the tent and our reservation was at 8.30. This was a total misrepresentation of our reservation. I had to call the restaurant from the US to correct it. Then too, they said we had to be there at 6.30 p.m although their website had mentioned nothing of the sort. So, someone there sometime has to correct these unprofessional activities. We had a good time, but I must admit that this dinner show pales compared to what I had experienced in Washington D.C in a Moroccan restaurant.More

We walked in without a reservation. Elected to take the prix fix menu. I had the Mediterranean Beef stew and my husband had the braised lamb shank. Both were excellent. Very large portions. Lovely decor. Close to our hotel…Novotel. Only complaint was that they were...out of Chardonnay. Staff very pleasantMore

We were a group of about 18 people, all family, celebrating my lovely niece's 50th birthday. We ranged in age from 10 to 81, and included three teens and a couple of seniors. We all had a wonderful time! Many of us were not very...familiar with French Moroccan food, but the waiters were very helpful in explaining what they were, and I have to say that all of it was both interesting and delicious. The food was very nicely spiced and seasoned, well presented and the portions were generous. There is a kids menu with a few familiar favourites(hamburgers, chicken fingers, pasta etc.) for the younger members of the party, and the staff were very thoughtful in catering to one who suffers from severe allergies. The dancers were young, attractive, and engaging......and very talented! We all enjoyed the show. I would not hesitate to recommend the Sultan's Tent, for a really enjoyable ''night out''......it felt like something ''a little bit different'', and definitely a Special Occasion !More
