We went with friends and we shared few choices to try more out of it. it was everything tasty, new by my experience, and absolutely cheap. $14 per person and it is really good.

Being South Indian, I find out most of their foods are tasteless. Cold idlies, watery sambar and average chutney (frozen coconut ) aren't expected in a South Indian restaurant. Service was okay, but foods aren't good. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My visit to this restaurant did not go well. The biggest thing was the very bad service that we received. We came in and where sat at a table. The decor was very old fashioned, tables and chairs were old and rickety. We first ordered 5 dosas that took some time to arrive (which is okay). However surprisingly even though... More

I went with something different this time which was the veg thali and I wasn't a huge fan. I did get the pav bhaji though which was pretty good. I usually do dosas which are always good and a safer bet but there's definitely lots to choose from.

I went with my cousins and one dosa never came out. i asked three different servers, and NONE of them brought it . just ignored me completely. Then i went up to the manager because everyone was done their meal to cancel the order, and he was not even one bit apologetic . Just said "we will cancel it". Eventually,... More

I ordered the South Indian Thali. Very satisfied and quite stuffed. Probably the best thali in Ontario, if not Canada!

All of the items available on the fairly long menu were listed at prices that diners would appreciate. Here, one orders from vegetarian, vegan, Jain and Szechuan fusion offerings. We liked the south Indian thali best. Wall murals and decorative musical instruments join god statuettes to adorn the otherwise sparse room, which is uniquely recessed down from street level. Most... Went to this restaurant on a Sunday night. Quite empty but did fill up while we eat .The waiter spoke limited English so it was difficult to question him about the dishes .The starters were very tasty and a fair size .The mains were small ,we questioned the fact there was only one small potato in one of the dishes... Toronto is a city I always experience great service. Thus place sucks! None of the servers were really interested including the manager. Food takes ages and need to keep reminding them what you ordered as they keep forgetting. Not recommended.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
