I have a lot of Persian friends and family and also cook Persian food, but some things, like Fesunjun, Tahdig (the crusted rice) and chelo we sometimes like to check out through others' recipes. We ordered a take out, for delivery, of Fesunjun, rice plus khobideh (chicken kebabs) with pomegranate rice. Delivery time was great, bang on when they said... More

We had a dinner organized at Zaffron last night and they pre-charged us all $45 per person. It was the biggest rip off I have experienced to date. They did not serve each guest there own portion but instead brought a plate of rice to share, 2 Stick of Chicken Kebabs and 2 koobideh, all this for 5 people. We... More

Had a family dinner at this place on Feb 20th after few years, unfortunately despite of getting expanded in serving area, found it very low in quality of food and service.

This restaurant was suggested by a friend. Wanted to invite my friend to a Persian cuisine. I will try to review my experience on a point by point basis: - probably the ugliest restaurant that you can pick. Terrible ambience, with ugly wall paints, cheap cutlery and tableware, half of the restaurant looks like a low class night clubs in... More

They have traditionally had Iranian as well as Italian food. Staff are helpful and courteous. If you go during the day (weekday), it may not be busy. However, all my visits have been good.

We are working our way through various Iranian eateries in Toronto and this time, I went back to Zaffron for a take-out. As usual, short and to the point: Positives: Extremely good kabab and good service once the boss showed up. Ample portions. Negatives: Take out or eat in is the same price, they expect a tip even for take... More

Zaffron is an Iranian restaurant deep in the heart of North York. Take the TTC subway on the York line until you can go no farther, and you are there. I had the opportunity to visit Zaffron with a group including two Iranian colleagues. This is a place that, on a Saturday night, was populated by many Iranians (or Torontonians... More

At first my family and I were somewhat reluctant to try this place based on mixed reviews about the food and rude service. Our experience was surprisingly good. We were not disappointed. The flavours of the various dishes we had were distinctive and full flavoured. We loved the eggplant dishes and grilled chicken. Our waiter, who happened to be the... More
