My friend and I went to the lunch Winterlicous at Diwan. Despite being bitterly cold that day the dining room featured floor to ceiling windows over looking the landscaped gardens. The sunshine streamed in through filmy blinds and bathed the room in light. The menu...More

Reservations recommended thru Open Table. The food was fantastic. This is a lunch location. The prices are expensive, the selection limited, but the range of food wonderful. Excellent presentation and service.

We visited Diwan not only because of McEwan, but also because it boasts stunning decor replicating a 19th century well decorated home in Syria. The ornate wood panels on the walls and ceiling are indeed gorgeous and majestic. The view looking out to the gardens...More

The restaurant in the Aga Khan museum is quiet with tasteful decor. The menu is brief but has something for everyone. The room looks over the museum complex's park gardens. A simple and satisfying lunch for 2 was about $60 without drinks.

This may well be the most attractive restaurant in Toronto, and the Middle Eastern food matches the decor. We lunched here for the first time in two years, and my impression is that the nosh has improved a notch. The red lentil soup is superb,...More

North York
North York is one of Toronto's most culturally diverse
neighborhoods. Home to a number of cultural events
throughout the year that celebrate the city's varied
ethnic communities, it's always worthwhile to see
what's going on in the area. Its cross-section of
inhabitants include students and long-time residents,
giving North York an eclectic feeling of being both
local and international. Extremely family-friendly,
