Used to come here often years ago but I don't get downtown much anymore. Since we were in the area after viewing the Distillery light show, we thought we would pop in. It's just as great as I remember. Great atmosphere, fireplace, lounging area, games of you're inclined. Food was terrific we both had the lamb burger served on naan bread with a tray sauce. It came with a small shredded red bet slaw and sweet potato chips which were really tasty. Service was quick and friendly and our waitress helped with choosing a beer from amongst the many different kinds offered. So glad we visited again and will definitely be back

Great place, good environment, variety of beers and excellent food. Ordered some different beers and a poutine with gravy and pork, really flavored and with good portion. The location is in Toronto downtown with different bars around

Great ambiance, Authentic feel. A rare selection of cask conditioned (real) ales, also conveniently available in 6oz measures to allow sample flights and still stay sober. The service was friendly and helpful. The food selection is a creative mix of pub fare and more exotic options. All we tried were very good.

The host who greeted us was so kind and patient while I fumbled around for my vax card. The food was incredible too. I ordered the rib dinner and the coleslaw and BBQ sauce that came on the ribs were delicious. The beer cheese appetizer was out of this world too-- the pita bread and pickled veggies dipped in the beer cheese were *chef's kiss*

Just next to the St Lawerence Market. The burger was bit over cooked and sour. Tasted bit ood. Butterchicken was a letdown. Understandable. Pulled pork poutine was a saviour with the ales I remember.

I have been making the occasional trip to C'est What, for something like 30 years. I am not a big drinker, so years have gone by without visiting any bar. But, when I go to one, I go there. I like cider. For years they had Waupoos, on draft. I've been three times this year, and they have had a cider from KW instead. Funny story. I buy a pint. On one visit they are clear out of Waupoos draft. But they have UK Strongbow cider, in cans. I order one of those. They bring that can, and their usual pint glass. However, the 500 ml can fills the glass. My buddy says that I have been served a "metric pint". Lol. I think this is the usual practice in every bar that serves you a "pint" - it is really a 500 ml metric pint. They used to have a humous and Tzadiki plate, with a plentiful supply of warm pita and crudites. That is what I always used to order, if I wanted something to eat. But they don't have that on the menu, anymore. I got a lambburger this time, and a bison burger last time. Both burgers came with an exotic cheese, instead of boring old cheddar, and were quite good.

We are honoured to be your "only" bar. The Strongbow story must from one of your earlier visits - we have carried only local cider now for many years.

Very good location, very nice back patio and friendly staff. Too bad the pork sandwich was actually very tasteless and small for the price. This was not an unique thing in our stay in Canada though, seems that they like their sandwiches with BBQ-sauce very mild. This was not to my taste however. Beer list was good, we must have managed to get the only bad beers in the list though as they were both pretty bad. 3.5/5 would be a realistic review.

We hope your disappointment with Canadian BBQ sauce doesn't stop you from visiting Toronto again. Happy travels.

The lamburger was awesome and the in-house made sweet potato fries the best I've ever had. The list of local craft beers is comprehensive. I strongly recommend their own beers made in collaboration with Durham brewing.

Set in a unique stone-lined cellar complete with fire place and rugged wood beams this is one of my favourite places to have a drink in Toronto. An impressive selection of unique beers (the bulk local) and a staff that are incredibly honest and knowledgeable, advising on what works best with depending on your tastes. They were even kind enough to offer samples to make sure I liked my selection. Also makes for a great date spot or group hangout complete with pool tables (and pre-covid had a shelf packed with board games) Always a great experience!! Plus great safety measures and distancing, felt very safe, they seem to really care about their patrons.

I visited Toronto 20 years ago, and I remember the great food I had. This trip did not disappoint. We went to C'est What for dinner on a recent trip. Extensive selection of beers. I really liked that they had small glasses so that I could try several. I ordered fish and chips and it came with the largest and tastiest piece of fish. Daughter enjoyed mac & cheese with pulled pork. Husband tried poutine for the first time and was impressed. Nice atmosphere--a bar that I was comfortable bringing my kids to.

Cozy atmosphere , large beer selection , very attentive wait staff . The food was amazing . Did not think Mac and cheese with butter chicken as a combo would taste so good . The beef ribs were delicious and very filling . My husband loved his bison burger . No room for dessert

Met up with family various local and visiting family for a night of drinking. My son met up with us. He had a doggie bag from lunch that he left on the table to throw out. A very rude waiter had a hissy fit on him, calling him rude and insensitive bringing food into a bar. Very aggressive. After I suggested the abuse, I left without ordering another drink or food, never to set foot in your *** hole again.

Just and old fashioned bar with pool tables. Really nothing more. The menu wasn’t even good bar food. The disappointment was the warm beer. We are a fan of icy brew. We ordered an appetizer with pickle veggies that were more just soaked in vinegar. The cheese was separated because the top was floating in oil. Not bad, but not good.

I had time between jobs for a bite and a drink and chose C’est what? On Front Street. The place filled up as I ate a satisfying butter chicken poutine washed down with Henry of Pelham Cabernet Franc. Cozy place

Great vegan restaurant on Queen St. Lots of choices and good alternatives to meat. Only note is if you like thicker smoothie bowls with granola they could be thicker and make sure to double check it has granola if that's what you like. Small spot so very attentive staff and very friendly. Would recommend would definitely come again!
