Food was absolutely delicious. We were in Toranto for a very short period. We wanted to go back again before leaving but couldn't manage it. Will definitely recommend to my family and friends visiting Toranto.

They may call themselves fine, but make no mistake, this is not a fine restaurant. The food is overall good, but not exceptional. The service is really what gives the restaurant bad marks - servers are unfriendly, unhelpful and food takes forever and no one...comes to table to check on you.More

Nice ambiance, the establishment is well decorated and has an upscale vibe. The food is average at best. I ordered thier popular chef's appetizer platter for 2. Portion wise, you are essentially sharing half a samosa, a nugget sized slap of battered brie, a pakora...and a few chicken bites. The quality of the appetizer is average at best. The pakora was tough and chunky. The chickpea battered brie pakora tasted stale and so did the samosa. Again, nothing that sets it apart—just average. Kept it simple with my main course and got chicken biryani. Mixed feelings about the biryani, as when it was brought over to me, it was warm but not hot. It was lacking spice and with raisins mixed in, it was a little odd. Regardless, it did have some flavour and it was definitely unique. The portion size is generous, with enough for 2 people. The biryani does not come with any chutney or mint yoghurt on the side. Overall, 5/10 for the biryani. The service is okay. Not the most attentative. I usually prefer to dine-in during less busy times and considering I was one of the few patrons at the time, the service could have been better. I do look forward to returning and trying more of what they have to ofoffer.More

It may be unfair to judge a restaurant on the quality of its takeout food, but my son and I both thought that the meal we enjoyed in the restaurant several years ago was better than what we picked up yesterday. Both the appetizers and...the three mains we ordered were adequate but no better than that. So: good enough, but by no means outstanding.More

We had our first patio dinner since Covid began at Kamasutra and what a treat to discover our favourite Indian restaurant has not changed a bit. The Sufiyani Salmon, Eggplant Bharta and Aloo Gobhi Masala were as flavourful as always. And the fresh na’an -...so good! Staff are welcoming and service is attentive. A delicious dinner!More

My goodness, what has gone wrong here? I have been ordering for years from this restaurant through different owners, staff etc mostly good though not always, have loved their sauces etc. The butter chicken I ordered was one note...completely boring. ..definitely a package sauce, mixed...with water, or Campbell's soup, no no name soup!!!!!! Horrible....listen, I like garlic. fresh ginger, cumin seeds, coriander, cream with chicken marinated properly etc ..I will make it myself....never again, what a waste of my hard earned money....cheap disgusting food. Please don't blame pandemic, don't you use tried and tested re cipes? And no, don't give me your lame excuses and "we hope you will try again" NEVER!!!More

Kamasutra has been our favourite restaurant for many years. Our most recent experience was truly fantastic in that my daughter and her fiancé chose this restaurant as the location of their wedding meal and celebration. Umesh and Mousuf and their team did a spectacular job...for the event and took care of so many details that made the night special. The food was incredible, as always, and got rave reviews even from some guests who were trying Indian for the first time. Highlights for me included Umesh hunting down a special wine for the bride and groom that was only available in limited quantities at various LCBOs in Toronto, and Mousuf running out to buy extension cords for the audio visual presentation when I forgot to bring mine (life saver!). We have always loved the food here, but this is the first time we have had contact with the management and I was beyond impressed. When you eat here your are being taken care of by great people who really care.More

I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the various reviews. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth the drive. The service was GREAT, but the food was average. The Chef's Appetizer plate was good - the brie pakoras were the best (although I would have thought...they would use paneer). The butter chicken lacked depth of flavour - the chicken was bland, the sauce one note. The Rogan Josh was more heat than flavour. I found the butter naan to be 'doughy'. It was okay - but I wouldn't drive an hour and half in traffic to get to it again. Had hoped for so much more.More

We visited on a wednesday somewhat soon after the lockdown and we decided to try it out even if it's a bit out of the way when you're a tourist staying downtown. It was worth the drive and then some... We were the sole customers...inside the restaurant (beautiful decor, by the way) but we could see the non-stop traffink for take-out, so we figured the place must be popular. Our waiter was prompt and helpful and as soon as the first dish came, we knew we'd leave satisfied. We ordered a dinner for two and we were almost full after the appetizers, which were excellent. Then the main course came. Rich, tasty, tender butter chicken, melt-in-your mouth lamb korm...everything was delicious. It was one of the better meals we've ever had and certainly the best indian food we've eaten. Also, portions are huge. With a dinner for two, we had enough left over for a second meal...we ended up buying a cooler to bring the leftovers home the following day despite a 9-hour drive! I don't know when we'll be back in Toronto, but Kamasutra will be a must-go when we do come back.More

Wonderful restaurant. Excellent food. Fantastic service. On Mother’s Fay, had ordered from another restaurant close to my home. They completely screwed up the order and with still no food at 7:30 pm, cancelled order and called the great folks at Kamasutra. At the last minute...on a busy night , they got supper delivered in 35 minutes and the food was excellent. I’ve eaten at the restaurant several times and have always been impressed with the service and the quality of the food. Their ability to smoothly take care of this last minute takeout issue while maintaining their high levels of food excellence throughout will ensure that they will become my first choice for Indian food.More

This is one of our absolute favorite Indian restaurants of all time! We will gladly drive an hour to pick up the delicious meals from here. The restaurant itself is very tastefully designed, with a lovely ambience – hoping all works well for them through...the lockdown, so we can eat in-house again soon. The blend of spices and the flavours at Kamasutra are just incomparable. Everything on their menu is delicious. Our favourites are: Chicken Vindaloo (if you like it spicy) Butter Chicken (sooo fragrant, with tender chicken) Madras fish curry (rich and coconut-ty) - When the menu was updated a few years back, the fish option was not offered for the Madras curry anymore. But if you call in and request it, the Chef happily makes it. I recently order from there last night – they made it with fish and it was the best I’ve had yet. The naan is soft, fragrant and you’ll gobble them up, so order extras! The garlic naan is divine. The rice was perfection, not a single grain over or undercooked. All servings are a very generous size but the flavours and preparation are so delicious that you’ll want to order extra and satisfy those leftover cravings the next day! The customer service is excellent. I sent them an email before we ordered to request the fish Madras (off menu) and Umesh got back to us very quickly and took care of everything. They really do aim to exceed all expectations; I found the level of service was top class.More
