I held my wedding here in summer of. 2018, and I have been a frequent (although not regular) patron for about 10 years.
We held a wedding for about 80 guests. The room was packed, but it was a wonderful event.
Staff:
All of the staff at the Granite were amazing. They were fast, friendly, had a great sense of humour, and were so welcoming of us all.
Sam and his father helped us with every part of the planning process and were able to fix any last minute glitches and details. They are absolute pros at this and made this such a stress free event. We cannot thank them enough for their help, professionalism, flexibility, and friendliness. Everything needed to be done was on time and impeccable. Thank you!
Outside patio and garden:
We had planned on using the garden, but we were rained out. Instead we used the covered patio which was great but packed.
The back garden and patio made an amazing spot to have our photos done once the rain let up.
The food:
Again, Sam was super flexible and we were able to do a tasting before the event, make our decisions and set everything in motion. Everyone seemed thrilled with the prime ribs and the salmon vegetarian option. Food was perfectly cooked and served.
Beer:
If you've never had beer that's been brewed at the Granite, it will not disappoint at all.
Decoration and arrangement:
Again, the flexibility was so appreciated. We didn't have a lot of decorations, but we did have an entertainment portion and everyone was great about it. The room itself is gorgeous, warm, and cozy. We added centre pieces and that was all we needed the back garden is a beauty itself.
Price:
Amazing. No hidden fees. Everything was explained to us and fees/costs were absolutely reasonable.
If you're having a small wedding, definitely consider the Granite. They treated us well and really made our day perfect.

We have been visiting The Granite for years and have always had great service along with tasty food and really good beer. My favorite would be Peculiar, a dark and flavorful pint.
We liked the place so much, we had our 80 guest wedding service and reception there. Owner Ron Keefe and his staff were outstanding hosts,
People attending still say it was the best wedding and party they had experienced.
Now that Covid is somewhat behind us, we have already planned our return trip.
Cheers!

Had the chance to pop back into the Granite Brewery a week or so ago, after almost 15yrs and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food & overall vibe. Service was a bit slow, but understandably so due to a big event they were hosting that night. Solid craft brew options and "pub grub" was really solid. Definitely recommend this neighbourhood gem that has incredible staying power.

I would like to preface this review by saying that I have never written a review for a restaurant before. I would also like to mention that while the beer is delicious, the customer service truly left something to be desired. I stopped into the bottle shop at about 10pm on July 27th to buy some beers. I had never been to Granite Brewing before, so I was unsure about which beers to select. I was also not sure about the vessels in which the beer was sold. Some places sell cans, some sell growlers, some sell crowlers, some have it all. I walked into the bottle shop and said something along the lines of, “geez, I don’t know what to get!” in a friendly way. Where I was hoping to receive guidance, I was met with a passive aggressive “well, I don’t know either” from the young man behind the counter. I then noticed on the board that both cans and growlers were available. Thinking out loud I said, “Oh, ok. So there are cans and growlers”. The man behind the counter then gestured to the fridge behind him and sarcastically said, “Yup. Just like we always have. And as you can clearly see in the fridge behind me.” I then mentioned that it was my first time at Granite. The man seemed to switch gears after mentioning that. I quickly chose some beers as fast as I could and got out of there. I felt belittled and uncomfortable. As a server myself, I can understand how difficult it can be to keep your cool at the end of the night on a busy day. I have never let my discontent seep into my attitude while serving. There is rarely (if ever) a place for sarcastic, rude, passive aggressive behaviour while serving. Especially when the customer has exchanged so few words with the server, and honestly, just wanted to buy some beer. I could have read the situation wrong. Maybe I just didn’t understand the man’s humour. But it certainly didn’t feel that way. This was my first time at Granite and I can say with confidence I will not be back.

The Granite has a heated patio at the back, which will become more popular as the days get colder. My son and I were there for lunch; I had the curried chicken, he the beef with dip and fries. Both dishes were better than average without being outstanding. But the best part of the meal was the patio.

The beer is consistently good. Food is generally excellent - my go to options are the butter chicken or the wings but I have tried a bunch of other things over the years. I have attended a few work events here as well and they generally go over well. Recommended if you are in the area.

Good on the Granite management! One of my friends is vulnerable to Covid, and the management turned on the heat lamps so we could sit on the rear patio. It was a cold day, but we managed fine. The food was what I expected from previous visits: good, not great. The beer is excellent.

The Granite has been a go to for us for a long time. The craft beer is great but they only make Ales. If you want Lager this is not the place for you. Food was excellent all four of us enjoyed our meals. The food is slightly overpriced in my opinion. Mike behind the bar is a real asset to this place.

We were 2 couples here this day. We were unlucky to come when a wedding celebration was being held. Predictable slow service. The food was good but also slow getting out to us on the patio. We've been here a few times, but this was definately our worst experience.

Excellent beer. This is one of the best breweries in Toronto. They also do cask ale, which is unique in the city. If you like beer, I'd highly recommend Granite.

Great patio at the back. Very quiet. I could not hear the traffic off Mt. Pleasant. Good service. Lunch menu had good variety.
I would go back.

Visited here on first night in Toronto. Decor and atmosphere reminded us a little of a Wetherspoons but a little more upmarket. Great selection of beers and varied food menu. Wife had chicken skewers and I had Goat curry. Huge portions. Really friendly and helpful server.
